Yandy Diaz Back In Friday's Lineup
2 years agoAs expected, Tampa Bay Rays infielder Yandy Diaz (hip) is back in the starting lineup on Friday to face off against Texas Rangers left-hander Andrew Heaney. Diaz is playing first base and batting leadoff. The Rays held Diaz out as a precaution the last two games due to a minor hip injury, but it's nothing serious and he should be returned to all starting fantasy lineups to kick off the weekend series versus Texas. The 31-year-old Cuban is hitting a very impressive .316 (62-for-196) on the year with 12 home runs, 34 RBI and 41 runs scored in 52 games. However, DFS gamers may want to avoid him on Friday, as he's hit just .216 (8-for-37) with a double and four of his 12 homers against left-handed pitchers on the year.
