Vladislav Namestnikov Collects Two Points In Top-Six Role
10 months agoWinnipeg Jets forward Vladislav Namestnikov came through with a goal and an assist as the team beat Buffalo 5-2 on the road Sunday. Namestnikov linked up with Mark Scheifele to help Josh Morrissey tie the game at two in the middle of the third period, and he potted in an empty-netter to ice the win. The versatile Russian forward saw nearly 17 minutes of ice time as a member of the second unit. He jumped into a top-six role to fill in for Gabriel Vilardi (upper body), who missed both of the team's two games over the weekend. Namestnikov will have elevated fantasy value until Vilardi returns. He will enter the next matchup boasting 28 points (eight goals, 20 assists) in 57 games for the season.
