Tyler Glasnow To Make Final Rehab Start Sunday
2 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow (oblique) threw a bullpen session Friday afternoon and told manager Kevin Cash he felt "100 percent," but he's slated for one final minor-league rehab start for Triple-A Durham on Sunday. If all goes well, it's likely Glasnow will be ready to come off the injured list to make his season debut. He cut his second rehab start short after just one inning on May 10, but he returned to dominant fashion with four scoreless innings and nine strikeouts at Durham on Tuesday. Glasnow's fastball averaged 97.3 mph in that outing and he maxed out at 99.4 mph, according to Statcast. Fantasy managers that have been stashing the hard-throwing 29-year-old all year have to be stoked that he's on the precipice of his 2023 debut.
