Tre Tucker 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Likely Relegated To Backup Role
Tre Tucker didn't have much success in 2024. That which he did have wasn't likely due to his talent, but due to the Raiders lack of other options in the receiving game. Now, the team drafted wide receiver Jack Bech in the 2nd round of the 2025 NFL Draft. They also took WR Dont'e Thornton, another WR, in the 4th round and WR Tommy Mellott in the 6th. They made it pretty clear that they weren't thrilled at the idea of Tucker being the team's WR2. Now, he will likely compete with Thornton for snaps for the WR3 job. He won't be completely phased out of the offense, but Vegas likely wants their passing game to run through elite tight end Brock Bowers, perennially underrated receiver Jakobi Meyers, and the aforementioned Bech. Thornton might see significant snaps as a field-stretcher, as he has absolutely elite speed -- his 4.30-second 40-yard dash proves it. Tucker is off the fantasy radar for 2025.
