Thomas Davis To Retire After 2020 Season
4 years agoWashington Football Team linebacker Thomas Davis, who is playing in his 16th NFL season in 2020, announced on his Twitter account that this will be his final season. Washington plays on Sunday night against the Eagles, and if they don't win that game, Week 17's contest could be the final game of the 37-year-old's impressive career. Drafted 14th overall out of Georgia in the first round by the Panthers in 2005, Davis was a Pro Bowler with Carolina from 2015-17 and was a first-team All-Pro selection in 2015 when he had 105 tackles, four interceptions and 5.5 sacks. He's heading into what could be his final game with 1,216 career tackles, 61 QB hits, 13 interceptions, 11 fumble recoveries and 29 sacks in 199 career games.
