Taylor Stallworth Joins Panthers On One-Year Deal
1 year agoFormer Houston Texans defensive tackle Taylor Stallworth signed with the Carolina Panthers on Thursday on an undisclosed one-year deal, according to his agent, Brett Tessler. The sixth-year defensive tackle played for the Kansas City Chiefs and Texans last year and was with the Indianapolis Colts and new Panthers head coach prior to that. The 27-year-old injured his hamstring in minicamp and received an injury settlement from the Texans, but now he'll head to Carolina to compete for defensive-line depth. Stallworth had only eight tackles (three solo) in seven games (zero starts) last year, and he has a total of 52 tackles (30 solo), 4.5 sacks, seven tackles for loss, 14 QB hits and two fumble recoveries in his five NFL seasons.
