Ross Stripling Also Heading To Angels
5 years agoThe Los Angeles Angels and Los Angeles Dodgers are still working to finalize their deal that is now expected to include starting pitcher Ross Stripling. The Dodgers would send outfielder Joc Pederson and Stripling to the Halos for middle infielder Luis Rengifo and two prospects, but there are still a lot of moving parts here. Stripling made 15 starts and 17 relief appearances for the Dodgers in 2019 and had a 3.47 ERA and 1.15 WHIP while striking out 93 and walking 20 in 90 2/3 innings. He's never posted an ERA above 4.00 in his four big league seasons and is valuable for his flexibility as a starter or reliever. The Angels have plenty of questions in their rotation, so Stripling has a good chance to start games in 2020, and he'd have appeal in deep leagues and as a daily streamer in the right matchups.
