Rockies Calling Up Brenton Doyle
2 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle, the team's No. 16 prospect per MLB Pipeline, is expected to be called up to join the team for their series-opening game on Monday night against the Cleveland Guardians. Doyle is hitting .306 with a 1.037 OPS for Triple-A Albuquerque and has played all three outfield spots. The 24-year-old right-handed hitter also has a double, five home runs, eight RBI, a stolen base and 12 runs scored in 12 games for the Isotopes this year. He could see decent playing time in Colorado if Kris Bryant lands on the injured list this week, making Doyle worth a look in NL-only and deep-mixed leagues. Doyle has plus raw power, but strikeouts could be an issue for him in his MLB debut.
