Rams Want To Trade Matthew Stafford?
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is fully available to be traded this offseason, and the Rams would love to do it, Michael Lombardi said on The Pat McAfee Show. However, it will be hard for the Rams to trade him away because of the $57 million guaranteed on his contract. Despite what the Rams have said publicly, it appears they want to get out from under the 35-year-old's contract now that he's expected to continue his playing career in 2023. The normally durable Stafford played in only nine games a year after winning the Super Bowl in his first year in LA due to thumb, neck and elbow injuries. All-Pro wideout Cooper Kupp is still in town, but the Rams need more help around him, and it's hard to imagine Stafford being a reliable QB1 for fantasy managers given all the punishment he's taken over the years.
