Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said the team wants to bring kicker
Brandon McManus back for the 2025 NFL season. The 33-year-old signed with Green Bay on October 16 and played in 11 games for the Packers. He connected on 20 of his 21 field goal attempts and all 30 of his extra-point tries during the regular season. The Super Bowl 50 champion with the Denver Broncos has hit on over 82% of his career field goal attempts and arguably had the best season of his career in 2024. McManus averaged 9.0 fantasy points per game this season, so he'll be on the fantasy radar next season if he re-signs with the Packers.

Houston Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik is set to interview with the New York Jets on Thursday for their head-coaching vacancy. In addition to Slowik, the Jets will interview Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith for the same position on Thursday. Slowik, who is now in his second year running the Texans' offense, also received some head-coach looks last offseason but remained in Houston. The Texans' offense wasn't as productive in 2024 in quarterback
C.J. Stroud's second season, but the team still managed to win the AFC South and win a playoff game for the second straight season. If the Texans were to pull the upset over the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend in the Divisional Round, it would make Slowik even more attractive to teams looking for a new head coach.

Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said there's no concern about kicker
Zane Gonzalez's hip injury or his status for the Divisional Round playoff game this Saturday versus the hosting Detroit Lions. Gonzalez was listed as limited in the team's first practice of the week on Tuesday but was a full-go on Wednesday, signaling he's ready to kick this weekend. If the 29-year-old puts in another full practice on Thursday, he'll most likely be removed from the final injury report. After joining the Commanders midway through the 2024 campaign, Gonzalez delivered stability at the position and made five of his seven field-goal attempts and all 19 of his extra-point tries in six regular-season games before kicking the game-winning field goal last Sunday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wild-card round. Despite that, he'll be a shaky fantasy option in Detroit in a game in which the Commanders won't have the luxury of settling for field goals.

ESPN's Ed Werder reports that University of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders would almost certainly accept if Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones offers to make him the next head coach, according to sources. Those around Sanders are encouraging him to pursue the opportunity, and Jones is enamored with the idea of hiring the former NFL cornerback. While Dallas has yet to request a formal interview with Sanders, he's the current betting favorite to become the next head coach of the Cowboys. The team has requested interviews with former New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh and current Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, and more names should surface this weekend. Sanders was the head coach at Jackson State for three seasons before signing a five-year $29.5 million deal at Colorado. He also played five seasons in Dallas and helped the team win Super Bowl XXX.

Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken is interviewing for the Jacksonville Jaguars' head-coaching job on Thursday, according to a source. Monken will then interview for the Chicago Bears' head-coaching position on Friday. Both interviews will come before Monken prepares the Ravens offense to take on the Buffalo Bills on the road this Sunday in the Divisional Round of the postseason. The interviews with the Jaguars and Bears are the first for Monken this year, although he's getting plenty of consideration for other head-coach openings around the NFL because of his success running Baltimore's offense the last two seasons. In addition to his coordinator job with the Ravens, Monken has prior head-coaching experience at Southern Mississippi and as an offensive coordinator in the collegiate ranks.

The Dallas Cowboys are expected to interview Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore for their head-coach job at some point this weekend ahead of the Eagles' Divisional Round playoff matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Before Dallas even requested an interview with Moore, he was considered one of the favorites to replace Mike McCarthy after he was let go earlier this week. The 36-year-old Moore was the Cowboys' backup quarterback from 2015-17 and then immediately became the team's QBs coach in 2018 when he wrapped up his playing career. He was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2019 and remained in that role through 2022. Moore was the Los Angeles Chargers' offensive coordinator in 2023 before joining the Eagles in 2024. His offenses have finished in the top 10 in total yards three different times.

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said on Wednesday that he will be undergoing a cardiac ablation and hip-replacement surgery this offseason. Harbaugh left the Week 6 game against the Denver Broncos with an atrial flutter, a type of arrhythmia that causes the heart to beat at an abnormally high rate. He had an electrocardiogram scan, and paramedics eventually got his heart back to a normal rhythm before Harbaugh returned to coach the rest of the game. Harbaugh's last heart flare-up came in 2012 when he was coaching the San Francisco 49ers. The 61-year-old also walks with a significant limp because of his hip, which will be fixed with surgery. Despite his health issues, Harbaugh doesn't have any plans of retiring. "It would take my heart stopping for me not to be out there on the sideline," Harbaugh said in October.

The Dallas Cowboys have requested permission to interview Seattle Seahawks assistant head coach Leslie Frazier for their vacant head-coach position, according to multiple sources. Frazier was previously the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings and has been a long-time defensive coordinator in the NFL. The 65-year-old began his NFL coaching career with the Philadelphia Eagles back in 1999 as their defensive backs coach. He also worked for the Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts before being hired as the Minnesota Vikings' defensive coordinator in 2007. Frazier was the Vikings' head coach for three seasons before he was fired in 2013 after posting a record of 21-32-1. After his stint in Minnesota, Frazier bounced around with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills before joining the Seahawks this past season.

Washington Commanders kicker
Zane Gonzalez (hip) was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's practice after he was limited on Tuesday. The upgraded practice status for Gonzalez means that he should be able to kick this Saturday against the Detroit Lions in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, barring a setback in practice with his hip on Thursday. The 29-year-old veteran joined Washington midseason and ended up going 5-for-7 on his field-goal tries while making all 19 of his extra-point attempts in six regular-season games. He made all three of his field goals, including the game-winner that doinked off the upright, in the three-point wild-card win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday night. Gonzalez also made all three of his extra points in that contest. Gonzalez has been solid for the Commanders, but he won't be one of the best fantasy kicking options this weekend in Detroit.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal's Vincent Bonsignore reports that there is a lot of momentum building for Detroit Lions offensive coordinator to become the next head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. Johnson is the top head-coaching candidate this cycle for his work elevating Detroit's offense the last couple of seasons. "I was told last night that [for] Ben Johnson, the Raiders make more sense because he doesn't want to go against the Lions and Dan Campbell being in the same conference," Dan Patrick said. "Whether that is true or not, I think also the allure of
Tom Brady [was a factor], and Brady is making decisions with the Raiders. It feels like he is making the decisions with the Raiders." Another factor that could appeal to Johnson is that he could have a hand in picking the next general manager if he were to go to Vegas. Either way, the Raiders still need to find a solution at quarterback.

The Indianapolis Colts announced on Wednesday that they will play in the NFL's first-ever regular-season game in Berlin, Germany, in 2025. The game in Berlin will be played at the Olympic Stadium as part of a multi-year commitment by the league to playing games in the sports metropolis. The NFL played five American Bowl games at the Olympic Stadium between 1990 and 1994, and the stadium was also home to NFL Europe's Berlin Thunder from 2003-07. The Colts were granted marketing rights in Germany last April as part of an initiative that awards NFL teams international marketing rights to build brand awareness and fandom outside of the United States. The Colts' opponent, game date and kickoff time will be announced when the full 2025 schedule is announced this spring.

Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph will interview with the New York Jets on Wednesday for their head-coach vacancy, according to a source. After a successful season running a top-five defense in Denver during the 2024 campaign, Joseph is in demand for several head-coaching openings around the league and will also interview for the Las Vegas Raiders job on Thursday. The 52-year-old has previous head-coach experience and led Denver's defense to No. 3 in points allowed (18.3 points per game) and No. 1 in sacks (63) this year. The Broncos defensive unit was among the bottom third in the league just a season ago, which makes it more impressive what Joseph was able to accomplish in 2024. The Jets fired head coach Robert Saleh after just five games and are most likely to move on from veteran quarterback
Aaron Rodgers this offseason.

The Dallas Cowboys have interest in and are expected to interview former New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh for their vacant head-coach position, according to a source. There has been plenty of speculation about who the Cowboys would consider for the job after parting ways with Mike McCarthy earlier this week, but Saleh would be their first known request for the head-coach position. In addition to the Cowboys, Saleh is in the mix to become a head coach again with both the Jacksonville Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders. If he doesn't land a head-coaching job, he's also expected to be in play for several defensive-coordinator openings around the NFL. The 45-year-old was fired on Oct. 8 after starting 2-3 with the Jets, his fourth year at the helm. For the rest of the 2024 season, Saleh served as an offensive consultant for the Green Bay Packers.

The Chicago Bears announced on Tuesday that they completed an interview with Denver Broncos senior personnel executive David Shaw for their head-coaching position. Shaw has never been a head coach in the NFL, but the 52-year-old was Stanford's head coach from 2011-22 and went 96-54 and won three Pac-12 conference titles in his time in Northern California. Before coaching in the collegiate ranks, Shaw was an assistant coach in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles, Las Vegas Raiders and Baltimore Ravens. The 2024 season was his first in a front-office role with the Broncos. In addition to Shaw, the Bears have already interviewed Thomas Brown, Pete Carroll, Aaron Glenn, Ben Johnson, Mike Kafka, Drew Petzing, Ron Rivera and Anthony Weaver for their head-coach job.

The Las Vegas Raiders requested permission to interview Pittsburgh Steelers director of pro personnel Sheldon White for their vacant general manager position, according to a source. White is a well-respected member of Pittsburgh's front office and will now get an interview to potentially replace Tom Telesco, who was fired after just one season in Vegas. White began his scouting career back in 1997 with the Detroit Lions and was promoted to director of pro personnel in 2000. He then became the team's vice president of pro personnel in 2009 and served as the Lions' interim GM in 2015 after the franchise fired Martin Mayhew. White also worked at Michigan State from 2017-20 and for the Washington Commanders in 2021 before joining the Steelers in 2022.
