Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn had a rough day in the team's 23-14 defeat in the Divisional Round at Kansas City, making only two of his four field-goal attempts and missing his only extra point. The veteran converted from 30 and 48 yards, but badly missed on a 55-yarder in the first half, pushed an extra point wide on Houston's lone touchdown, and had a low kick blocked in the Texans' last-ditch attempt to get back into the game. It would have taken a special effort for Houston to unseat the defending champs, but between Fairbairn's bad day and the offensive line surrendering eight sacks, the Texans weren't able to do enough as their year ends in the Divisional Round for the second straight season.--Nick Piotrowicz

Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass is a solid option in DFS competitions on Sunday evening when he faces the Baltimore Ravens. Last weekend, during their wild-card victory over the Denver Broncos, Bass went 3-for-3 on attempts and 2-for-2 on extra points. Over his previous five games, Bass has missed just one field goal attempt and has averaged a solid 8.2 fantasy points per game. During this stretch, he has been perfect on attempts from 40+ yards. On Sunday, he will face the Ravens who have allowed the 13th-fewest fantasy points to opposing kickers this season. Despite this, given Bass's recent stretch of performances, he is a top option in all DFS competitions on Sunday.--Andy Smith

Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker is a low-end play in DFS competitions in the divisional round when he faces the Buffalo Bills on Sunday evening. Last weekend, during their wild-card victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tucker went 4-for-4 on extra-point attempts. He did not attempt a field goal. Despite holding a shaky 70.4% FG conversion rate during the first 13 games of the regular season, the veteran kicker has begun to turn the corner as he has gone perfect on all attempts over his previous five contests. However, the Bills have done well limiting the opposing kickers to the fifth-fewest fantasy points this season. As a result, Tucker is a low-end play this weekend.--Andy Smith

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Chicago Bears recently reached out to the Pittsburgh Steelers to see if they could swing a trade for long-time head coach Mike Tomlin, according to league sources. However, the Steelers rebuffed the Bears' request. When asked this week about the idea that a team would inquire about his availability, Tomlin simply said, "Save your time." One other team asked about Tomlin's availability, and the Steelers informed them that Tomlin has a full no-trade clause in his contract. Despite the Steelers' fifth straight loss in the first round of the playoffs, the team has no interest in trading him. There are plenty of frustrations with Pittsburgh's fan base, but they just signed Tomlin to a three-year extension last offseason that made him one of the NFL's highest-paid head coaches. The Steelers have also had just three head coaches since 1969.--Keith Hernandez

Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is interviewing for the New Orleans Saints' vacant head-coaching position on Saturday, one day before his Eagles take on the Los Angeles Rams in a Divisional Round playoff game. Moore is a popular head-coaching candidate this cycle after leading the Eagles to the No. 2 seed in the NFC this year. He also interviewed for the Jacksonville Jaguars head-coaching position on Friday and could be the favorite to return to the Dallas Cowboys to become their next head coach as well. Under the 36-year-old, the Cowboys led the league in total yards in both 2019 and 2021. This year under Moore, the Eagles ranked seventh in points per game (27.2) and eighth in total yards per game (367.2). The Saints are looking for a new head coach after firing Dennis Allen in the middle of the 2024 season.--Keith Hernandez

Los Angeles Rams kicker Joshua Karty has a brutal matchup in less-than-ideal conditions this week, so he's probably not the best fantasy option. The rookie did have a strong finish to the season, making 15 straight field goal attempts over the last six games. However, the Eagles have allowed the fewest fantasy points in the NFL to opposing kickers this season, and the weather is expected to be cold and wet. Since most of Karty's recent success has come indoors at SoFi Stadium, it seems like a difficult place to count on him for a big fantasy week in the Divisional Round.--Zach Thompson

The Tennessee Titans reached a five-year contract with former Kansas City Chiefs assistant general manager Mike Borgonzi on Friday to be their next general manager, tying him to the organization through the 2029 season. Borgonzi will be replacing Ran Carthan, who was fired after the 2024 season after just two years in the position. Borgonzi was the Chiefs' assistant GM for the last four years but had spent the last 16 seasons in a front-office role in KC. He was promoted to assistant GM in 2021 and also worked three years as the team's director of football operations from 2018-20. He was initially hired in Kansas City in 2009 as the college scouting administrator. Before entering the NFL, Borgonzi played at Boston College and then became their assistant recruiting coordinator from 2007-08. The Titans were specifically interested in finding a GM with experience in college scouting.--Keith Hernandez

ESPN's Adam Schefter said on the Pat McAfee Show that Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson will be a head coach somewhere in 2025, but it won't be for the Dallas Cowboys. Most speculation around the league is that Johnson will join the Las Vegas Raiders, but Schefter says he's "not in that camp right now." Schefter's reasoning for why he's not sold on Johnson going to Vegas is that Johnson has been very selective in where he wants to become a first-time head coach. Not only do the Raiders not have a top pick in the 2025 NFL draft, but they don't have desirable quarterback situation, and they also reside in a division with Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert and Bo Nix. Johnson's name has been connected with the Chicago Bears often. The NFC North was the toughest division in the NFL this year, but they do have last year's No. 1 overall pick in QB Caleb Williams.--Keith Hernandez

The New Orleans Saints are interviewing interim head coach Darren Rizzi for their head-coaching vacancy on Friday. It's the fourth interview the Saints have held, also talking with New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka, Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver and Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn. In addition to Rizzi, the Saints will interview Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady on Friday. Rizzi took over the interim head-coach job midway through the 2024 season after the Saints fired Dennis Allen. He initially gave the Saints a spark but finished 3-5 down the stretch with the Saints finishing last in the NFC South division. Formerly the team's special teams coordinator, Rizzi is considered a long shot to be hired for the full-time position in the Big Easy.--Keith Hernandez

The New York Jets will interview Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores, Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley and Minnesota Vikings quarterbacks coach Josh McCown for their head-coaching job on Friday, according to sources. After the Vikings were knocked out of the playoffs by the Los Angeles Rams on wild-card weekend, Flores will be a busy man this weekend, also interviewing for head-coaching positions with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday and with the Chicago Bears on Saturday. He's considered one of the favorites for the Jets' job. He went 24-25 over three seasons as the head coach for the Miami Dolphins, and there were plenty of questions about how he handled the development of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. McCown started 13 games as the Jets QB from 2017-18.--Keith Hernandez

The Miami Dolphins have been designated as the home team for a 2025 NFL regular-season game in Madrid, Spain. It will be the NFL's first-ever game in Madrid, and it will be played at iconic Bernabeu Stadium, which has a capacity of just over 78,000. The date of the game and the Dolphins' opponent will be announced this spring. Both the Dolphins and the Chicago Bears hold marketing rights in Spain as part of the NFL's global-markets program. Miami is 2-5 in games played outside the United States and have lost their last four international games, most recently when they lost 21-14 to the Kansas City Chiefs in Frankfurt, Germany, in 2023. They have played five times in London and once in Toronto. Bernabeu Stadium is a leading candidate to host the final of the 2030 World Cup.--Keith Hernandez

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker will face the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round of the playoffs this Saturday. Butker missed his lone field goal attempt in the Week 18 shutout loss to the Denver Broncos. The veteran kicker will look to turn things around now that the playoffs have started. Since returning from knee surgery in Week 15, Butker has nailed three of his five field goal attempts and eight of nine extra-point attempts. The 29-year-old could be heavily involved if the Texans get rolling offensively, which is possible given they scored 32 points in their Wild Card matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Given how the Chiefs perform in the playoffs, Butker should be good for at least two field goals and extra-point attempts. Butker should be considered a viable plug-in kicker in DFS and playoff leagues this week.--Joshua Costello

Detroit Lions kicker Jake Bates has never appeared in an NFL playoff game before, but he already ranks as the No. 1 overall kicker in RotoBaller's Divisional Round fantasy rankings. His highly anticipated performance against the Washington Commanders on Saturday is the result of an impressive regular season in which he scored the seventh-most fantasy points among kickers. He missed just three field-goal attempts, and the Lions' incredibly potent offense put him in position to make a whopping 64 extra points. Also working in his favor is a somewhat favorable matchup against the Commanders, who surrendered two field goals to Chase McLaughlin last week, including one from 50 yards out. All in all, Bates is this week's top fantasy kicker thanks to his accuracy, power, and role on a dominant Lions team.--Andersen Pickard

Coming off 12 points in the Wild Card round, Ka'imi Fairbairn faces what is likely the toughest matchup for any starting kicker this weekend when the underdog Houston Texans travel to Kansas City in the Divisional Round. The Chiefs were one of the worst draws for fantasy kickers during the regular season, ranking No. 2 overall against them, while Houston's offense is averaging just 19 offensive points per game since the start of December. Additionally, temperatures are expected to be well below freezing on Saturday, a poor setting for field-goal kicking. All together, Fairbairn is attached to an average offense as a road underdog in bad conditions, which means managers in DFS formats should try for another option if possible.--Nick Piotrowicz

Washington Commanders kicker Zane Gonzalez (hip) is off the injury report and is good to go for Saturday's divisional round matchup against the Detroit Lions. Gonzalez opened the week as a limited participant but was upgraded to a full participant for the remainder of the week. Last weekend in Tampa Bay, the 29-year-old had the best game of his career as he went 3-for-3 on field goals and 2-for-2 on extra points. Gonzalez made his first attempt from over 50 yards in this contest and hit the game-winner as time expired. Playing in a dome in a projected high-scoring affair makes Gonzalez a viable play in DFS competitions, as the Commanders should be in scoring positions all evening.--Andy Smith
