Carolina Hurricanes winger Andrei Svechnikov recorded his second career postseason hat trick in Sunday's 5-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils. He became the fourth player in franchise history to score in the opening minute of a playoff game and also found the net in the second and third periods. This was a breakout game for Svechnikov, as he had been limited to one goal and two points through the first three games of the series. On Sunday, Svechnikov became one of the most productive postseason performers in franchise history, reaching 41 points (19 goals, 22 assists) in his 55th appearance. Only Eric Staal (45) and Sebastian Aho (75) have tallied more points in the Stanley Cup Playoffs with the Hurricanes/Whalers.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

Cleveland Guardians left-handed pitching prospect Parker Messick tossed five shutout innings during his start against Triple-A Lehigh Valley. In this outing, Messick allowed just one hit and a walk, and matched a season-high eight punchouts. This was a strong bounce-back outing for Messick as well, as he allowed four runs in each of his previous two starts. Through 22 1/3 innings (five starts), the southpaw has posted a solid 3.22 ERA with a 1.21 WHIP. During this stretch, the Florida State product has held a 30:10 K:BB and allowed just two home runs. Last summer, the 24-year-old progressed through the Cleveland system quite quickly and should be in the mix for his MLB debut later this summer, given his current production. Last season, Messick held an impressive 2.83 ERA with a 1.14 WHIP across 133 2/3 innings split between High-A and Double-A. If he continues to perform well, Messick could become a worthy stash target.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: MiLB.com

Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl factored in all four goals when the team beat the Los Angeles Kings 4-3 in overtime on Sunday night. He scored his first career postseason goal on the power play in overtime and finished with three assists. Two of the helpers came in the third period when Edmonton erased a 3-1 deficit. Draisaitl posted his eighth career four-point playoff game, tying Mario Lemieux for the fifth most in NHL history. The Kings have once again struggled to contain Draisaitl, who boasts three goals and nine points through the first four games of the series.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck was pulled for a second consecutive game as the team struggled to keep pace with the St. Louis Blues in Sunday's Game 4. He lasted 42 minutes in the contest, allowing five goals on 18 shots. Eric Comrie closed out the 5-1 loss by saving all six shots he faced. Following a dominant regular season, Hellebuyck began the playoffs with back-to-back wins, but he has registered a poor 0.744 save percentage over the last two games. Winnipeg will hope to see Hellebuyck turn around his form in Game 5 on home ice, where he has been nearly unbeatable this campaign, boasting a 29-3-3 record, including the playoffs.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

Houston Astros infield prospect Brice Matthews went 2-for-4 with a home run and two stolen bases during Sunday's contest against Triple-A Tacoma. This outing extended Matthews's hitting streak to four games. During this stretch, Matthews has gone deep twice and held a 2:3 K:BB. However, before this surge at the plate, the former 28th overall pick from the 2023 MLB Draft had carried a modest .213/.359/.293 slash line with one double, one triple, and one home run. During this 21-game stretch, Matthews held a modest 32:16 K:BB and only tallied five RBI. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progression at Triple-A as he appears to be turning the corner. If the Nebraska product continues to show growth, he should compete for a second-half MLB debut.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: MiLB.com

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Alexandre Carrier (undisclosed) was injured during Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Washington Capitals. He did not see any action in the final 13 minutes of play after absorbing a massive hit from Capitals forward Tom Wilson. Carrier also made a brief exit in the opening period. He logged 13:39 of ice time in the game, registering one shot on goal and one hit. Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis provided no update on Carrier after the game. His absence for the remainder of the series would be a significant blow for Montreal, as Carrier is known for his shot-blocking abilities and has also contributed offensively. In four games, he has recorded two points (one goal, one assist), 11 blocks, and seven hits.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: Sportsnet

New York Mets right-handed pitching prospect Jonah Tong struck out a season-high 10 batters during his start on Sunday against Double-A New Hampshire. In this start, Tong tossed four shutout innings. He allowed just one hit and one walk. This was Tong's first start, not allowing a run this season. Through his first four starts of the campaign (17 1/3 innings), the right-hander has struck out 30 batters and held a 4.15 ERA with a 1.33 WHIP. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progression at Double-A, as he is flashing elite strikeout upside. Last season, the former seventh-round selection spent most of his time with High-A, where he held a 3.71 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP with 110 punchouts across 85 innings. If he continues to perform well with Double-A, he should be in the mix for a promotion to Triple-A.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: MiLB.com

St. Louis Blues defenseman Tyler Tucker (lower body) exited early on Sunday against the Winnipeg Jets and may face an extended absence. Tucker, who logged the game-winning goal in Sunday's 5-1 victory, appeared to have hurt his right leg late in the third period. He needed help to get off the ice. While there were no updates on him after the game, Tucker is likely to miss the remainder of the series, according to Lou Korac of The Hockey News. Tucker entered the lineup for Game 2 and has recorded four shots on goal and 12 hits while averaging 14:23 of ice time in the postseason. Veteran Ryan Suter, who has been a healthy scratch for two games, may have the opportunity to rejoin the action in his absence.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: Lou Korac

Boston Red Sox infield prospect Marcelo Mayer continued to stay hot at the plate. During Sunday's double-header against Syracuse, Mayer went 3-for-7 with two doubles, a home run, six RBI, and a 2:1 K:BB. Over his last nine games, Mayer has enjoyed an impressive power surge, posting a strong .417/.452/.944 slash line with four doubles and five long balls. During this stretch, the No. 11-ranked prospect in the sport has tallied 24 RBI. Mayer performed well in Double-A last season but was unable to make his Triple-A debut due to numerous injuries. However, the former fourth overall pick has shown significant growth at the top level of the minor leagues and has opened the door for an early 2025 MLB debut. Through his first 23 games at Worcester, Mayer has held a .280/.324/.548 line. If he continues to hit for power, he will become an intriguing stash option in standard leagues.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: MiLB.com

Chicago Cubs infield prospect Matt Shaw went 2-for-5 with a double and a home run during their contest on Sunday against Triple-A Louisville. This was his second-straight contest, tallying two hits. This was also his first long ball since returning to Triple-A. Shaw was able to earn a spot on the MLB roster out of spring training but was optioned following his first 18 games when he held a .172/.294/.241 slash line with just one double and a home run. During this first taste of the MLB, he held a 26.5 percent strikeout rate. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status as he should be in the mix for an early return to the major leagues. Last summer at Triple-A, the former 13th overall pick held a .298/.395/.534 slash line. Fantasy managers in deeper NL-only formats should continue to stash Shaw on their bench.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: MiLB.com

Milwaukee Brewers right-handed pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski tossed five shutout innings in his latest outing on Sunday against the Durham Bulls. In this outing, Misiorowski allowed just three hits, no walks, and struck out a season-high batters. This was his second-straight outing not allowing a run. Through his first 29 2/3 innings at Triple-A this season, the former second-round selection has held a strong 1.82 ERA with a 0.91 WHIP. Across this stint, he has struck out 38 batters and served up 13 free passes. This is a great sign as the 23-year-old has continued to build off his strong Triple-A debut last summer when he held a 2.55 ERA with a 0.85 WHIP across his first 17 2/3 innings at that level. Given his steady progression, he should be in the mix for an early 2025 MLB debut.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: MiLB.com

Chase Elliott had another typically quiet finish at Talladega yesterday, finishing 7th on track but being promoted to 5th after Ryan Preece and Joey Logano's disqualifications. Although his pass differential of 52 was the second-highest in the race behind only his teammate Kyle Larson, Elliott only factored for the lead a couple times and only led a single lap under caution while his teammates all looked faster. Elliott was the highest-ranked Chevy in the race a couple times, but he usually did better while in fuel-saving mode than going full rich. His comeback to fifth was nonetheless very impressive as he had a speeding penalty on a pit stop late in Stage 2 in a race where it was difficult to make passes through the pack. His inconsistency has allowed him to pass Christopher Bell for fourth in points and he sits 107 points above the cutline, but his relative lack of speed this year is still worrisome.--Sean Wrona - RotoBallerSource: Racing Reference

Arguable pre-race favorite Joey Logano had arguably the best run at Talladega, leading 24 laps, posting the race's best average running position of 7, and finishing fifth on track before being disqualified for a missing spoiler brace. Although Logano ran in the top ten for most of Stage 1, he burned more fuel while running out front and did not earn any stage points, but finished second in Stage 2 before he was stripped of his points post-race. He embarrassed himself thoroughly by lashing out at his teammate Austin Cindric for costing him the stage "win" and got his comeuppance when Cindric won the race while Logano was relegated to a last-place finish. Nonetheless, despite only one top ten finish in the first nine races, Logano has still collected enough stage points to be sitting in a tie for 10th with Ross Chastain 36 points above the playoff cutline.--Sean Wrona - RotoBallerSource: Racing Reference

In a race where Ryan Preece's two RFK Racing teammates Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher both crashed early, it was left to Preece to carry the mantle for the organization, Preece took the lead four times and lost to Austin Cindric by a mere .022 second on track before being disqualified for a rear spoiler infraction. Preece ran in the top ten for most of the first and second stages but fell back because he burnt more fuel than his pursuers before he saved fuel in Stage 3 to jump the early leaders of that stage. After the pit stops, he was elevated to fifth and for all the backlash about how it was supposedly impossible to pass, he did move from the third row in the last ten laps to battle Cindric for the lead before the DQ. However, the resulting 38th place finish dropped him out of the playoffs and 19 points below the cutline.--Sean Wrona - RotoBallerSource: Racing Reference

After winning the previous drafting track race at Atlanta, Christopher Bell was unable to repeat the feat at Talladega after a hard crash on lap 52. Bell had driven from his 11th starting position to second behind Chase Briscoe for most of the first stage when the Toyotas worked together to drive from the field. The caution came out for a pit road crash after Bell had pitted but before many of the leaders did, allowing Bell to reinherit the second position after the drivers who stayed out pitted. Restarting alongside Chris Buescher, Bell received a bad bump draft from his teammate Denny Hamlin, which sent him into Buescher and then head on into the inside retaining wall. While this wreck would have likely caused a significant injury in the '90s, he was unhurt but dropped to 82 points behind the points leader William Byron for the regular season championship.--Sean Wrona - RotoBallerSource: Racing Reference

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola didn't factor into the decision on Sunday but was solid in a 3-1 win over the Cubs. He allowed one run on three hits and a walk with six strikeouts in seven innings. This was a step in the right direction for Nola who had lost all five of his starts before this one with a 6.43 ERA and 1.61 WHIP. This start lowered his ERA to 5.40, but he still has plenty of work to do before his stats look more in line with that of a near-ace that many fantasy managers drafted him to be. He'll look to carry this momentum into his next start, tentatively scheduled to be against the Diamondbacks.--Jeremy Heist - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com

New York Mets starting pitcher Tylor Megill allowed three runs on three hits and one walk while striking out nine over 6 ⅓ innings in an 8-7 loss to the Nationals on Sunday. This was the first time of the season that he allowed more than two runs in a start, which speaks to just how good he has been. More importantly, this was his first quality start and appearance of at least six innings of the year. If he can become more efficient and last longer into games he could be a real standout in fantasy, as he has already shown his strikeout upside with 19 punchouts combined over his past two starts. Megill will look to keep things up in his next time out, currently lined up to be against the Cardinals.--Jeremy Heist - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com

Houston Astros starting pitcher Hunter Brown earned his fourth win of the season on Sunday, striking out nine over six innings while allowing one run on seven hits and one walk in a 7-3 victory over the Royals. This is his sixth straight quality start to begin the year and his second straight nine-strikeout performance. Brown has looked every bit like an ace, with his ERA now down to 1.22. He should be able to keep things up in his next start, which is currently lined up to be against the White Sox in Chicago.--Jeremy Heist - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com

Miami Marlins catcher Agustin Ramirez continued to impress on Sunday, going 2-for-5 with two solo home runs in a 7-6 loss to the Mariners. He has been nothing short of spectacular to begin his major league career, slashing .474/.524/1.158 through his first five games. Seven of his nine hits have been for extra bases, with three home runs and four doubles. He's also stolen one base so far, showing off his legs that led to 22 stolen bases in the minors last season. Ramirez has 20 home run and 20 steal upside which is extremely rare for a catcher, and is a must-add unless you already have an elite catcher.--Jeremy Heist - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andy Pages went 4-for-5 with a homer and four RBI in a 9-2 win against the Pirates on Sunday. He has been on fire as of late, as this was his third straight game of three hits or more. He's now slashing .277/.355/.506 with five home runs, 11 RBI, 11 runs, and one stolen base through 25 games this season. Everyday playing time in a stacked Dodgers lineup tends to bring good outcomes, and Pages could be worth a pickup as a streaming option while he's hot.--Jeremy Heist - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com

Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte (hamstring) was packing in the clubhouse on Sunday and confirmed that he will play in Philadelphia, according to Jack Sommers of SI.com. Arizona is expected to make the trip to Philly for three games starting on Friday, May 2. Marte has been sidelined since April 5 with a hamstring strain after only playing in eight games in 2025. He'll look to reclaim his title as the best fantasy second baseman after he had a breakout 2024 to the tune of a .292/.372/.560 slash line with 36 home runs.--Jeremy Heist - RotoBallerSource: Jack Sommers

Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Joe Ryan was excellent on the mound during Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Angels. Ryan was blasted for six runs during his last start, but bounced back nicely during this start. He tossed seven shutout innings, allowing four hits, and striking out 11 batters in the win. Ryan has allowed one earned run or less in four of his first six starts of the season. He'll take a 3.18 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, and a 39/4 K/BB ratio into his next start against the Boston Red Sox. This isn't a favorable matchup for Ryan, but he still remains a must-have in basically all fantasy formats.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: mlb.com

Cincinnati Reds third baseman Noelvi Marte continued smashing the ball during Sunday's game against the Colorado Rockies. The 23-year-old went 3-for-5 with a double, two steals, and three RBI in the win. Marte went 7-for-15 with seven RBI during this three-game series in Colorado. Overall, Marte is slashing .364/.404/659 with three homers, 15 RBI, and four steals this season. This hot stretch might not last forever, so fantasy managers should take advantage of it and roster Marte where available. He has been red-hot at the plate since being recalled.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: mlb.com

Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (knee) will play on Sunday versus Orlando. The right knee impingement isn't expected to go away anytime soon, so DFS managers will likely see him on the injury report for the rest of the postseason. But unless Brown suffers a setback along the way, he'll likely continue to see north of 30 minutes per contest. However, his presence should mean Sam Hauser, who would have been in line to start, will likely remain on the bench, lowering his fantasy ceiling.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Boston Celtics

Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Nick Lodolo took a no-hitter into the sixth inning of Sunday's game against the Colorado Rockies. The southpaw was unhittable until Jordan Beck got an infield single in the bottom half of the sixth inning. Despite that, Lodolo tossed seven scoreless innings, allowing two hits, and striking out nine batters in the win. It's not easy pitching at Coors Field, but Lodolo had seemingly no problems in this one. He'll take a 2.25 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, and 27/5 K/BB ratio into his next start against the Washington Nationals. When healthy, Lodolo is one of the best left-handed pitchers in the game. He should be rostered in most standard 12-team formats.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: mlb.com

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Brandon Marsh (hamstring) was hopeful to rejoin the big league club within the next week, but that plan might've changed. Marsh played six innings during a rehab game with Triple-A Lehigh Valley before being removed due to a right hamstring cramp. The plan is to re-evaluate Marsh on Monday, but this setback will likely push back his timetable to return. The 27-year-old was struggling at the plate before going down with a hamstring issue. Marsh has four hits in 51 plate appearances, so fantasy managers can leave him on the waiver wire for now.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Corey Seidman

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Ranger Suarez (back) looked strong on the mound during his most recent start at Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Sunday. The southpaw tossed 4 2/3 innings, allowing one run on four hits while striking out eight batters. He threw 78 pitches in this one, so the Phillies will likely want to stretch him out a little more before returning to the big league rotation. There is no word of Suarez making another start, but it wouldn't be a surprise if he makes one more appearance before heading back to Philly. It's worth noting that Cristopher Sanchez (forearm) is banged up, so maybe Suarez replaces him in the rotation. Fantasy managers in need of pitching help should stash Suarez where available.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Corey Seidman

Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung (finger) was removed early during Sunday's game against the San Francisco Giants. Jung was taken out in the fifth inning due to a cut on his index finger. It's unclear when Jung suffered the injury, but hopefully this won't result in a trip to the injured list. Josh Smith took over at third base while Nick Ahmed moved over to shortstop as a result of Jung exiting the contest. Smith figures to see more time at the hot corner if Jung is forced to miss time.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Jeff Wilson

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow (shoulder) has been removed early during Sunday's start against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Glasnow gave up two hits, two runs, and walked a batter in the opening frame. He returned in the second inning, but Glasnow was removed while warming up due to right shoulder discomfort. Ouch, this is not a good look, but fantasy managers don't need to panic yet. Glasnow is expected to undergo further testing to determine the significance of the issue. Honestly, it wouldn't be shocking to see him placed on the injured list, but fantasy managers will need to check back for more updates.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Los Angeles Dodgers
