Detroit Tigers right-hander Reese Olson (shoulder) has already been ruled out to return to the mound this year. Olson will not require surgery for his right shoulder strain, but was given a PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injection for his shoulder. A PRP injection involves using the player's blood, spinning it down, and reinjecting the "good stuff" back into the affected joint in hopes of speeding up healing time. If this works, surgery will remain off the table for the 26-year-old. He did pitch well in his 13 starts this season, going (4-4) with 65 strikeouts in 68 innings to the tune of an ERA of 3.15 and WHIP of 1.21. Olson looks to be healthy going into spring training in 2026 and is ready to build off of this year.--Dr. Reuven Guy
