Spencer Schwellenbach Likely Done for the Year
Spencer Schwellenbach (elbow) is on the 60-day injured list with a fracture in his pitching elbow. Braves manager Brian Snitker said Monday that Schwellenbach has not yet to resume throwing and appears unlikely to pitch again in 2025. There is no official timeline for his return, and he will need an extended build-up program to get back on the mound this year for the Braves. With Atlanta out of the playoff picture, the Braves do not need to push Schwellenbach back this year. If his season is over, Schwellenbach will finish the year with a (7-4) record, 3.09 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, while averaging close to a strikeout per inning.
