Grayson Rodriguez Expects to Have Normal Offseason Build-Up Before Spring Training
Grayson Rodriguez (elbow) said on Foul Territory on Tuesday that he will be able to go into the offseason healthy and have a normal build-up going into spring training next year. "In about a month and a half to two months, I should be back to throwing bullpens," Rodriguez said. The 25-year-old will end up not pitching at all for the Orioles in 2025 and will have a right-elbow debridement surgery early next week. Rodriguez has flashed high-end rotation stuff already in his two seasons in the majors, but he will go into 2026 as a serious health risk after missing a good chunk of time in 2024 with arm issues as well. The 25-year-old former 11th overall pick in 2018 will surely come at a discount next year in fantasy drafts and will be a great value pick if he can actually stay healthy. G-Rod has a 4.11 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 25.7% strikeout rate in his 43 MLB starts.
