Will Howard Fractures Hand on Tuesday
Will Howard fractured a small bone in his throwing hand during practice on Tuesday. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Howard is going for additional testing, but he is not expected to need surgery. Much still hinges on what the additional tests reveal but as of now, Howard is only expected to miss around three weeks with the injury. The rookie quarterback out of Ohio State has been battling with veteran Mason Rudolph to open the season as the backup to Aaron Rodgers.Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Sungjae Im a Volatile Risk at FedEx St. Jude
Source: PGATour.com
Sungjae Im can be a factor in Memphis. The South Korean golfer finished -10 or better in three of his past four appearances in Memphis. That includes a T-6 in 2023. Last year did not go quite as well (T-40). However, Im does have a couple of Top 10 results in 2025. The problem is how the summer has gone. Im finished T-16 at the Memorial. That is his highlight. There have been four missed cuts. Even at the Wyndham Championship, Im was in contention until a 73-71 weekend knocked him out of the Top 25. Im can shoot 64's and 65's as easily as 75 or worse. We saw this at the US Open which raises major issues when it comes to betting options. Riley Minix Signs New Two-Way Deal with Spurs
Riley Minix will return to the San Antonio Spurs for the upcoming campaign on a two-way contract. After going undrafted, Minix also earned a two-way deal from the Spurs a year ago. He made his NBA debut in November, going scoreless in seven minutes against the Houston Rockets. Minix showed class in the G League Tip-Off Tournament, putting up 20.5 points per game and grabbing 7.0 rebounds. However, the Vero Beach, Florida native made only three regular-season appearances in the G League before his rookie campaign was cut short by a shoulder injury. He's fully healthy ahead of the new season, having featured in five Summer League games with the Spurs.Source: Shams Charania
Forward Joe Milton III Dealing With Thumb Injury
Joe Milton III injured the thumb on his throwing hand during Tuesday's practice and left early. After getting off to a hot start in the practice session, Milton banged his thumb on another player's helmet and made an early exit as a result. When asked about it, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told reporters that Milton's removal was precautionary. While Dallas has not indicated the severity of the injury, it appears that Milton will not miss an extended period of time in training camp. Milton, a sixth-round pick by the New England Patriots in the 2024 draft, turned heads by throwing for 241 yards and one touchdown in a spot start in Week 18 against the Buffalo Bills. He will serve as the backup for the oft-injured Dak Prescott in 2025 and would draw plenty of fantasy interest if Prescott were to miss time in the upcoming season.Source: Nick Harris on Twitter
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Harry Hall Playing Well as Playoffs Approach
Source: PGATour.com
Harry Hall is turning up the heat in the summer. The English golfer has four Top 10 outcomes in 2025. After a hot start in Hawaii (two Top ten results), Hall cooled off. Since the middle of May, Hall has not finished outside the Top 30 in any event. He shot all four rounds in the 60's at the Wyndham Championship as Hall finished tied for 15th. This was buoyed by a closing round 65. Hall keeps gaining strokes to putting and making putts. As a result, he has 0.874 strokes gained to putting which leads the tour. Starts are the key for Hall, he leads in putts per round at 27.59. Hall just needs to keep the ball on the fairway and green as often as possible. He is a bit of a long shot but for birdies, Hall becomes a DFS option this weekend. Cole Kmet's Injury Not Considered Serious
Cole Kmet (undisclosed) appears to have survived an injury scare after leaving practice early on Tuesday, as Adam Hoge of CHGO reported that Kmet has avoided serious injury. Kmet went down on the practice field on Tuesday and left with a trainer. The Bears have provided no further explanation as to the nature of Kmet's injury, but it appears that it will not prevent him from taking the field in Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings. The Bears used a first-round pick to draft Colston Loveland in the 2025 NFL draft, which will severely hamper Kmet's production in the passing attack, leaving him as a mid-range TE3 in fantasy drafts.Source: Adam Hoge on Twitter
Chicago Bears tight end Chris Boucher Signs One-Year, $3.3 Million Deal with Celtics
Chris Boucher has joined the Boston Celtics as a free agent. ESPN's Shams Charania reports that Boucher signed a one-year, $3.3 million contract with the team. Boucher came off a three-year, $35.25 million deal this offseason. The 32-year-old was a valuable impact player off the bench for the Raptors but could find himself in a much more important role in Boston. The Celtics have essentially lost all their frontcourt depth over the summer, and they might even consider Boucher as a potential starter. In his last season with the Raptors, Boucher averaged 10.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in 17.2 minutes.Source: ESPN
Forward/center Chris Gotterup on Impressive Run Heading to Memphis
Source: PGATour.com
Chris Gotterup did not start too well in 2025. The American golfer missed eight cuts in his first 12 events. Then, the switch went off. Gotterup started putting better, hitting balls on the fairway and the green, and the results came. He had a bunch of Top 30 results then went over to Europe and won the Genesis Scottish Open. If that was not enough, he ended up third at The Open Championship. After staying in the Top 10 at the 3M Championship, pundits started to trust in Gotterup. When he is more accurate with his driver, the golfer is a huge factor from a betting standpoint (normally 53.84% accuracy - 154th). Gotterup is +4500, like Harris English, to win this event and +115 to finish inside the Top 20. Do not sleep on the young golfer.Evan Engram Impressing in Broncos Camp
Evan Engram continues to impress in his first training camp with his new team. The Broncos signed Engram last offseason after he was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he has wasted little time impressing his new team. Offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi said that Engram has "met or exceeded" the high expectations the team had for him when he was signed. "He can run. He can change direction. Willing blocker. He sticks his nose in there. Complete tight end. Guy that's really been showing up in camp," Lombardi told reporters. The Broncos have been looking for a reliable tight end since Sean Payton became head coach and they appear to have found one in Engram. The veteran tight end is set up for a big year and can be confidently drafted as a low-end TE1 in all fantasy formats.Source: Zac Stevens on Twitter
Denver Broncos tight end Georges Niang Returns to Utah
Georges Niang in a trade with the Boston Celtics. In another money-saving move, the Celtics are trading away Niang and two future second-round picks for rookie guard/forward RJ Luis Jr., who the Jazz signed to a two-way deal after he went undrafted in June. Niang will pack his bags for the second time this offseason. Boston picked him up last month from the Atlanta Hawks in the Kristaps Porzingis trade. Early in his career, Niang spent four campaigns with the Jazz. He will add veteran presence and three-point shooting to the squad but isn't expected to be a fantasy factor. Last season, Niang shot 40.6 percent from deep to average 9.9 points in 21.5 minutes across 79 games with the Hawks and Cleveland Cavaliers.Source: ESPN
The Utah Jazz have agreed to acquire forward Harris English Ready for the Playoffs
Source: PGATour.com
Harris English is enjoying a career year in 2025. The American golfer won earlier in the year at the Farmers Insurance Open. Also, English ranked 7th in FedEx Cup points this season behind four Top 10 results including two in the previous three events. English has been much more consistent too while making the cut in 16 of 18 tournaments. Improvements in key metrics have been huge including approaching the green where English now ranks 87th (0.095 strokes gained compared to -0.325 in 2024). Furthermore, there is only one major red flag. Approaching the green has been an issue at times as English ranks 128th in greens in regulation (65.89%). English did finish second at this event in 2020 but has had issues showing that form since. Alex Lange Nearing Return, But Faces Uphill Battle for Role in Tigers Bullpen
Alex Lange (lat) made back-to-back rehab appearances at Triple-A on August 1 and 2 as he works his way back from lat surgery that has sidelined him all season. The 28-year-old former first-round pick is nearing a return but faces a crowded bullpen with Kyle Finnegan, Tommy Kahnle, and Will Vest entrenched in high-leverage roles. Lange's path to fantasy relevance will depend on whether he can regain his pre-injury velocity, particularly his fastball that once sat near 96 mph. He's a wait-and-see stash in deeper leagues but could factor into the bullpen mix if his stuff returns.Source: MLB.com
Detroit Tigers right-hander Matthew Stafford is Making Progress
Matthew Stafford (back) has missed most of training camp while dealing with a back issue. While this has caused some concern related to the veteran's availability in Week 1, head coach Sean McVay had positive news on Tuesday. McVay told reporters that Stafford is "feeling good" and "making good progress," while going on to say, "We've been able to kind of increase some things behind the scenes." Stafford is unlikely to see much work throughout the remainder of training camp, but he is likely to be under center when the Rams open the regular season against the Houston Texans. He can be treated as a low-end QB2 from a fantasy perspective.Source: Sarah Barshop on Twitter
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Bud Cauley Trying to Reverse Course at Memphis
Source: PGATour.com
Bud Cauley has finished inside the top 10 four times in 2025. The American golfer has missed the cut in back-to-back tournaments. At the Wyndham, Cauley could not make birdies and wound up at two-over. The same happened at The Open Championship. History at Memphis has been light regarding the golfer. Cauley missed the cut in his only appearance in 2020. Since the Charles Schwab Challenge in May, Cauley has not contended in events. Even worse, his numbers have slid a bit. Scoring average has risen to above 70 at 70.15 (81st). Birdie average dipped below 4.00 recently for the first time all season at 3.97. Simply, Cauley must get off to a good start in Memphis and make more putts to be a DFS factor.Paul Sewald Begins Throwing Program, Aiming for September Return
Paul Sewald (shoulder) began a throwing program on Aug. 4 as he works toward a potential September return. Acquired at the trade deadline, Sewald is expected to serve as a key late-inning arm down the stretch, putting him in line for save and hold opportunities once healthy. The veteran right-hander is aiming to bolster a Detroit bullpen that's lacked consistency in high-leverage spots. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues or those preparing for playoff pushes should consider stashing Sewald now, as his experience and role could make him a valuable asset over the final weeks of the season.Source: MLB.com
Detroit Tigers reliever Daniel Berger Hoping to Contend at FedEx St. Jude
Source: PGATour.com
Daniel Berger has a couple of top-10 results in 2025 but ranks 30th in FedEx points. The American golfer has moved up to 36th in the official world golf rankings overall. Berger has turned things around from off the tee to his approach of the green. He ranks inside the top 20 in several key metrics, but 132nd in strokes gained putting (minus-0.144). This is an improvement from 2024. Berger does average a mere 28.09 putts per final round (22nd), however. That is more than a full putt per round better than his overall number. TPC Southwind was kind to Berger in 2020, where he finished third. If conditions are ideal, then Berger has a chance from a DFS perspective.Roschon Johnson Expected to Serve as Bears' Goal-line Back
Roschon Johnson appears to be carving out a role in new head coach Ben Johnson's offense. According to ESPN.com's Courtney Cronin, Johnson appears to be locked into the short-yardage and goal-line role thus far in training camp while also getting some work on third downs. The Bears' running-back room could become crowded as D'Andre Swift is expected to serve as the lead back, while rookie Kyle Monangai has also drawn praise from Chicago's head coach. Johnson has flashed potential over his first two NFL seasons but has also struggled to stay healthy. He could emerge as a solid target as a late-round dart-throw at the running back position in fantasy drafts.Source: ESPN.com
Chicago Bears running back Sawyer Gipson-Long Resumes Rehab Assignment
Sawyer Gipson-Long (neck) will make another rehab start Wednesday as he continues his return from neck stiffness that paused his assignment on July 18. The 27-year-old has posted a 4.70 ERA with 18 strikeouts over 23 innings in five appearances this season. With Detroit adding Chris Paddack and Charlie Morton to replace injured starters Jackson Jobe and Reese Olson, Gipson-Long will need to earn a rotation spot upon return. While there's some intrigue in deeper fantasy formats, his role remains uncertain, and managers should proceed with caution until there's more clarity on his usage.Source: CBS Sports
Detroit Tigers right-hander Jonah Tong Punches Out Eight in Latest Gem
Source: MiLB.com
New York Mets pitching prospect Jonah Tong continued his incredible season on Tuesday evening, logging five shutout innings against Double-A Somerset. In this contest, the budding ace allowed just three hits and two walks. He struck out eight. Over his last 37 2/3 innings of work, Tong has posted a remarkable 0.96 ERA with a 0.88 WHIP. During this near-perfect stretch, the former seventh-round pick has struck out 58 batters and allowed only 15 free passes. Overall, through 97 total innings at Double-A Binghamton this season, the 22-year-old has posted a stellar 1.58 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and a 154:44 K:BB. Fantasy managers should continue to keep a close eye on Tong. While he is not expected to reach Queens this season, he should be in the mix to earn a taste of Triple-A action, which would set him up for a 2026 MLB debut.Dylan Beavers Launches Two Home Runs in Second Straight Game
Dylan Beavers continued his impressive power surge at Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday evening. Facing Rochester, the outfielder launched two long balls and scored three runs. During his previous game on August 3 against Memphis, Beavers went 3-for-5 with two round-trippers. Over his last 11 games, Beavers has been one of the most dominant hitters in the entire minor leagues, posting a .359/.545/.949 slash line with an eye-catching seven long balls and two stolen bases. Overall, the 23-year-old has posted a .310/.423/.539 slash line through 86 games with the Norfolk Tides this season. With Ramon Laureano and Ryan O'Hearn being shipped to San Diego, Beavers should be viewed as a high-end stash in all redraft leagues, as he appears to be just days away from a potential promotion.Source: MiLB.com
Baltimore Orioles outfield prospect Luis Pena Goes Deep in High-A Debut
Luis Pena went 1-for-4 with a home run and a walk during his High-A debut on Tuesday evening. Pena earned the promotion to High-A alongside fellow top prospect Jesus Made. Earlier in the season at Low-A, Pena flashed immense upside and is already making an impact at High-A. Through 71 games at Low-A Carolina, the No. 3-ranked prospect in the system on MLB.com posted an impressive .307/.374/.470 slash line with an .844 OPS. He went deep six times and added 14 doubles and swiped 40 bags. Despite only being 18 years old, Pena is quickly ascending prospect boards and is making a strong case to join the top-25 on MLB.com later this summer. He remains a top stash in dynasty formats despite being several seasons away from his MLB debut.Source: MiLB.com
Milwaukee Brewers infield prospect Jesus Made Knocks Triple in High-A Debut
Jesus Made wasted little time to make an impact since earning a promotion to High-A. In his debut with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, the top-ranked prospect in the Milwaukee system went 1-for-5 with a triple and a run. He struck out three times. The 18-year-old enjoyed an impressive start to the season at Low-A and is quickly progressing through the Milwaukee system. At Low-A, Made held a .267/.373/.388 slash line with 21 doubles, four home runs, and an impressive 40 stolen bases. While the 18-year-old is still several seasons away from his MLB debut, Made is a fast-rising dynasty asset. He should be viewed as a must-stash in all keeper/dynasty formats as he could be viewed as the No. 1 prospect in baseball once he reaches the upper levels.Source: MiLB.com
Milwaukee Brewers shortstop prospect Kristian Campbell Extends Hitting Streak to 14 Games
Kristian Campbell continued to perform at an elite level at Triple-A Worcester. On Tuesday evening, the former top prospect extended his incredible hitting streak to 14 games. During this contest against Triple-A Buffalo, the Georgia Tech product went 2-for-4 with an RBI. During this 14-game stretch, Campbell has posted a remarkable .404/.483/.615 slash line with two doubles, three home runs, one stolen base, and an 11:7 K:BB. Campbell opened the 2025 campaign in Boston but was optioned after he hit a skid in May. However, in April, has was quite productive, holding a .287/.388/.460 line with an .848 OPS. Given his recent surge at Triple-A, he should be viewed as a high-end hitting prospect to stash in all formats.Source: MiLB.com
Boston Red Sox infield/outfield prospect Luke Keaschall Launches First Career Home Run
Luke Keaschall wasted little time to make an impact in his first game in the majors since April. On Tuesday evening, the former 49th overall pick went 2-for-4 with a home run and single. The No. 46-ranked prospect on MLB.com would go deep in his first at-bat of the evening and hit a two-run shot off Detroit right-hander Chris Paddack. Later in the contest, Keaschall would knock an RBI single to tally his third RBI of the game. Keaschall missed nearly the entire first half due to a fractured forearm. During his first seven games in Minnesota before the injury, Keaschall posted an impressive .368/.538/.526 slash line with five stolen bases. Given his ability to hit for power and steal bases, he should be viewed as a top target on the waiver wire this week.Source: MLB.com
Minnesota Twins second base prospect Scottie Scheffler Continues Dominance Ahead of TPC Southwind
Scottie Scheffler continues to prove why he has been the world's top golfer for the last 116 weeks, capturing another win -- this time at The Open Championship. This marks his 11th straight top-10 finish and fourth victory in that stretch,Collin Morikawa Eyes Major Bounce Back at TPC Southwind
Source: PGA Tour
Collin Morikawa had not missed the cut in a solo event since March of 2024, but he has now recorded back-to-back missed cuts in his last two starts. He is in need of a bounce-back performance at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, where he has three straight finishes of T22 or better. To continue that success, Morikawa will need to stay sharp off the tee, on approach, and with his putter. He ranks eighth in total strokes gained (plus-1.184 per round), second from tee to green (plus-1.315), fifth on approach (plus-0.760), and fifth in driving accuracy. The most concerning part of his game is his putting, where he ranks just 129th, losing 0.131 strokes per round. Given his recent struggles, ownership on Morikawa is likely to be lower than usual entering the playoffs. His price has been adjusted accordingly, and at just $9,100 on DraftKings, Morikawa is a potential sleeper pick this week.Michael Kim Looking to Find Rhythm at TPC Southwind
Source: PGA Tour
Michael Kim has had a roller-coaster 2025 season, making 19 of 25 cuts and recording six top-25 finishes, but only one of which has been in his last 16 events. He'll look to turn things around at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, where he hasn't competed since 2018. Success at TPC Southwind requires sharpness off the tee, on approach, and with the putter. Kim ranks 44th in total strokes gained (plus-0.607 per round), 39th from tee to green (plus-0.555), and 27th on approach (plus-0.356). He's an average putter, ranking 89th (plus-0.052), and sits 107th in driving accuracy. Kim is strong in proximity from 100-150 yards, a range that made up over 34% of all approach shots here last year, ranking in the 89th percentile. At just $6,700 on DraftKings, Kim is a bargain this week, but given his recent form, he might still be hard to trust.Devin Williams Takes Loss In Non-Save Situation Tuesday

Victor Hovland Eyeing Another Strong Finish at TPC Southwind
Source: PGA Tour
Since winning the Valspar Championship in March, Victor Hovland has continued to play solid golf, posting five top-25 finishes in nine events. He looks to build on this at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, where he has finished T20 or better in four of five trips, including a T2 last year. To sustain that success, Hovland will need to stay sharp off the tee, on approach, and with his putter. He ranks 24th in total strokes gained (plus-0.814 per round), 15th from tee to green (plus-0.928), second on approach (plus-0.966), and 61st in driving accuracy. His main weakness is putting, where he ranks just 125th, losing 0.114 strokes per round. Combining a strong season with excellent course history makes Hovland a strong play at $9,300 on DraftKings.Phil Maton Earns Save On Tuesday
Phil Maton picked up his third save of the season and his first with his new team in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Yankees. Maton came in to pitch the top of the ninth inning up by two. He allowed a leadoff single but induced a ground-ball double play and ended the game with a strikeout. Robert Garcia (back) has seen the majority of save opportunities for the Rangers lately, but he exited last Saturday's game with back spasms and has not pitched since. Maton is one of several relievers who could see save opportunities in the interim, and no one player has held down the role of closer for long with the Rangers this season. He has pitched well, earning 21 holds with a 2.18 ERA, a 1.09 WHIP, and an 11.10 K/9 rate in 41 1/3 innings of work.Source: MLB.com
