Seattle Mariners starting pitcher
Logan Evans will take the mound for his MLB debut against the Miami Marlins on Sunday. Evans is one of the top pitching prospects in the Mariners system, so there is plenty of hype surrounding him. He posted a 3.86 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and 23/4 K/BB ratio across five starts in Triple-A this season. Before those five outings, Evans had only pitched as high as Double-A, but it appears the Mariners believe he's ready for the big leagues. He'll get a favorable matchup against the Marlins offense on Sunday. That being said, Evans is worth a look as a streaming choice against Miami. He could very well stick in the rotation for a few weeks with
Logan Gilbert (elbow) heading to the injured list.

Jarred Kelenic (rest) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Saturday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Kelenic will remain on the bench for the second straight game, which shouldn't come as a surprise given how his season has gone. Over his last six games, Kelenic has four hits with only one homer and four strikeouts to go along with it.
Eli White will take over right field and bat eighth versus right-hander
Merrill Kelly. Fantasy managers should be able to find a better streaming option than White for Saturday's slate.

Jrue Holiday (hamstring) won't play on Sunday versus Orlando. He didn't do much on the scoring end in the first two games of the series, combining for only 10 points. Still, he was certainly missed on Friday night in the loss to Orlando, especially on the defensive end. Without Holiday in the lineup,
Al Horford, who had six points, seven rebounds, and two blocks in Game 3, will presumably stay in the starting lineup, with
Luke Kornet potentially remaining more involved from off the bench.

The Miami Dolphins have selected Texas quarterback
Quinn Ewers with the 231st overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Ewers was previously the top recruit coming out of high school in 2022. He originally committed to Texas, flipped to Ohio State, and then transferred to Texas a year later. Ewers was benched for Arch Manning during a game against Georgia last October, but for the most part, he was the Longhorns' starter. He finished his final collegiate season having completed 66 percent of his passes for 3,472 yards, 31 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. In Miami, he'll offer depth behind
Tua Tagovailoa and
Zach Wilson. The Dolphins' No. 2 quarterback role has long been a topic of discussion due to Tagovailoa's history of serious concussions.

Logan Gilbert (elbow) has been placed on the 15-day injured list on Saturday. Gilbert was forced to exit early during Friday's start due to an elbow issue. Gilbert will now officially head to the injured list due to a right elbow flexor strain. The right-hander will miss at least two starts, but fantasy managers should expect him to be out a little longer than that. This is a tough break for the Mariners considering how well Gilbert has been pitching for them. So far this season, Gilbert has allowed two earned runs or less in every start, but one. It's unclear at the moment who is going to replace Gilbert in the Mariners rotation. The expectation is that
Logan Evans could see a few starts while Gilbert is sidelined.

Emmanuel Clase was asked to come on a little early during the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Boston Red Sox. The right-hander tossed a perfect eighth inning with two strikeouts as he needed only 14 pitches in this one. Manager
Stephen Vogt said that Clase would be available as the closer for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader. Clase has been off to a rough start to the season, so the Guardians wanted to give him a lower leverage situation to build up some confidence. It sounds like he'll be back in the closer role for now, but
Cade Smith should also be in the mix for saves.

New Jersey Devils defenseman Brenden Dillon (lower body) is not ready to return to the lineup for Game 4 against the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday. He will miss a third consecutive contest after suffering a lower-body injury in the series opener. Dillon's absence has given Simon Nemec a chance to play in back-to-back games. Following a largely anonymous effort from him in Game 2, Nemec made headlines with the winning goal in Friday's 3-2 double-overtime victory. He found the back of the net with his fifth shot on goal and logged two blocks and one hit in 22:39 of ice time.

Mitchell Robinson (illness) is questionable for Saturday's postseason clash with the Pistons. Robinson isn't feeling well, resulting in his absence from Saturday's practice. The 26-year-old no longer has a minutes restriction, according to head coach Tom Thibodeau. Still, he hasn't done much for DFS managers outside of his rebounding efforts, totaling only eight points in the first three games of the series. If Robinson can't suit up,
Precious Achiuwa will likely see more minutes. Still, Thibodeau will presumably continue to run his starting lineup into the ground, leaving little room for anyone else to get involved.

New Jersey Devils defenseman Luke Hughes (upper body) will miss a third consecutive game on Sunday against the Carolina Hurricanes. Hughes suffered an upper-body injury in Game 1 of the series. Following a trip to the locker room, he was able to finish the contest, but the Devils have since removed Hughes from the lineup. This has allowed Dougie Hamilton to reclaim a spot on the top power-play unit. However, Hamilton has had a quiet series, posting one assist in three games. He went scoreless in 31:16 of ice time in Game 3, including 6:21 with the man advantage.

Washington Capitals forward Aliaksei Protas (foot) is on track to rejoin the lineup for Sunday's Game 4 against the Montreal Canadiens. He was a full participant in Saturday's practice and could make his first appearance since April 4, when Protas sustained a skate cut on the top of his left foot during a matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks. Protas was highly effective for the Capitals during the regular season, putting up a career-high 30 goals and 66 points in 76 games, while ranking third in the league with a plus-40 rating. Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery will have some big decisions to make, as Protas' replacement on the first line, Anthony Beauvillier, has had a great start to the postseason with four points (one goal, three assists) in three games.

Winnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi (upper body) is considered a game-time decision for Sunday's contest against the St. Louis Blues. He was a full participant in Saturday's practice and is closing in on his return. An upper-body injury has kept Vilardi sidelined for 14 games. Before the injury took him out of the lineup, Vilardi was flying, registering a career-high 61 points (27 goals, 34 assists) in 71 appearances with 130 shots on goal. Vilardi's return will likely end Alex Iafallo's stint on the top line. During the regular season, Vilardi had two goals on three shots in three meetings with the Blues.

The Indianapolis Colts have selected Notre Dame quarterback
Riley Leonard with the 189th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. A Duke transfer, Leonard racked up 2,861 passing yards, 21 passing touchdowns, and eight interceptions during his one and only season with the Fighting Irish. He also rushed for 906 yards and another 17 touchdowns on the ground. Leonard is capable of making big, accurate throws down the field, but he can also keep defenses guessing with his ability to roll out of the pocket and make plays. He joins a Colts quarterback room that features two other mobile quarterbacks,
Anthony Richardson and
Daniel Jones. Leonard likely won't earn playing time in Week 1, but with glaring quarterback questions in Indianapolis, he could push for an opportunity to earn snaps down the stretch.

Will Howard with the 185th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Howard looked like a polished passer at times last season, leading the Buckeyes to a national championship. He pairs his good mechanics and accuracy with the mobility needed to make plays on the run. As a senior, he ultimately led the Big 10 in completion percentage (73%), passing yards (4,010), and passing touchdowns (35). This selection is particularly intriguing because Howard could have a chance to compete for the starting quarterback job. Pittsburgh's quarterback room currently features

DJ Giddens with the 151st overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He's a big-bodied runner with decent speed and the ability to find gaps at the line of scrimmage. Over his final two collegiate seasons, he totaled 2,569 rushing yards, 581 receiving yards, and 21 total touchdowns. Presumably, he'll have a chance to compete with
Khalil Herbert for the No. 2 running back role behind
Jonathan Taylor. Of course, Taylor remains the workhorse in Indianapolis, so Giddens would only become fantasy-relevant if Taylor gets injured.

Michael Busch is absent from the lineup for Saturday's matchup with the Phillies as Philadelphia sends lefty
Jesus Luzardo to the mound. Busch is off to a good start at the plate, slashing .295/.386/.568 with a .414 wOBA and 167 wRC+ over 101 plate appearances, but will give way to
Justin Turner on Saturday. The veteran, on the other hand, has been atrocious at the plate, hitting .154 without a single extra base hit on the year so far, and even worse lately, going 1-for-18 (.056) over his last seven games. Although Turner is batting fourth, the Cubs have a low implied run total in this one, and Turner is 1-for-10 in his career off of Luzardo, so DFS users will likely want to look elsewhere for options at first base.

Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) made a 61-pitch rehab start at Triple-A Nashville on Thursday, but felt "really tired" afterward, according to manager Pat Murphy. Murphy also indicated that, although Woodruff experienced tiredness, there were no physical setbacks, so a return to the major league mound in May still appears to be on track. Despite not pitching in a game since 2023, the righty owns a career 3.10 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 22.4 percent K-BB%, so for those in need of pitching help, the 32-year-old is a worthwhile bench or IL stash in most fantasy leagues.

Ezequiel Tovar (hip) is still at least a week away from returning from the injured list according to manager Bud Black.
Aaron Schunk had been filling in as of late for the injured Tovar, but has now been placed on the IL as well.
Kyle Farmer will man shortstop in Saturday's game against the Reds, but has not recorded a hit in his last 17 at-bats. So, needless to say, the 4-21 Rockies will hope to get Tovar back as soon as possible to hopefully breathe some life into the offense, although he was struggling to begin the year, slashing .212/.257/.303 with no home runs, a .251 wOBA, and 44 wRC+. In contrast, Tovar put together a .269-26-78-83-6 line last season with a .324 wOBA and 95 wRC+.

The Dallas Cowboys have selected Texas running back
Jaydon Blue with the 149th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Blue isn't a dominant tackle breaker, but he has good downfield speed and can make an impact as a dual-threat option out of the backfield. He rushed 134 times for 730 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground last year, and he added an additional 42 catches, 368 receiving yards, and six receiving touchdowns through the air. Entering the draft, Dallas' backfield was headlined by
Javonte Williams,
Miles Sanders, and
Deuce Vaughn, so Blue has a chance to carve out a role right away. He's an intriguing rookie selection and could be worth a late-round flier in redraft leagues.

Jordan Watkins with the 138th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Watkins doesn't possess game-changing speed, but his physical playing style and dependable hands make him a solid slot receiver who can play through contact. His receiving skills were on display at Ole Miss, where he caught 49 passes for 906 yards and nine touchdowns. San Francisco shipped away
Deebo Samuel Sr. this offseason, but Watkins is still buried on the depth chart behind

Ivan Herrera (knee) caught a bullpen session on Saturday as he works his way back from a bone bruise in his left knee. Herrera began running the bases earlier this week and is expected to begin a rehab assignment on Thursday of next week. The 24-year-old had gotten off to a hot start to the year, going 8-for-21 (.381) with two doubles, four home runs, 11 RBI, six runs scored, and a 3:5 BB:K. Fantasy managers who had rostered the Panamanian backstop who had to use a less-potent fill-in during his absence will welcome him back with open arms as the right-handed hitter still ranks within the top 12 at the position despite not having played in a game since April 6. Rostered in less than half of fantasy leagues, managers looking for catching help should stash him before his eventual return.
