Travis Adams Recalled from Triple-A
Travis Adams to the major leagues. Adams made his MLB debut earlier this season and logged 12 1/3 innings to the tune of an 8.03 ERA with a 1.62 WHIP. During this stretch, Adams posted a low 15.3% K rate but showed elite command, posting a 5.1% walk rate. The No. 21-ranked prospect in the Twins system on MLB.com has spent the majority of the campaign with St. Paul. Through 63 2/3 innings at Triple-A, the right-hander has posted a 3.68 ERA with a 1.23 WIHP. He has struck out 58 hitters with 20 free passes. Fantasy managers should expect Adams to likely have a long relief role out of the bullpen for the time being. However, he could eventually earn a few stars at the end of the campaign.Source: Minnesota Twins

Max Kepler Returns to Friday's Lineup
Max Kepler (triceps) is back in left field and will hit seventh for Friday's series opener against the visiting Detroit Tigers and right-hander Jack Flaherty at Citizens Bank Park. Kepler was scratched from the lineup on Wednesday with triceps soreness but is feeling good enough to return after Thursday's scheduled off day. The 32-year-old veteran outfielder is hitless in just two career at-bats against Flaherty and won't have a ton of DFS sleeper appeal in his return. Kepler is barely hitting over .200 on the season over 305 at-bats and has added 11 home runs, 33 RBI and 40 runs. The German native was not good in July, going 11-for-56 (.196) with two homers and five RBI in 18 games. If he doesn't pick it up soon, Kepler could be in danger of losing at-bats against right-handed pitchers to the newly-acquired Harrison Bader.Source: MLB.com
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Denzel Clarke Begins Baseball Activities
Denzel Clarke (hip) has begun a hitting and running progression. The 25-year-old has been sidelined with a Grade 2 adductor strain since July 22. However, seeing Clarke already begin participating in baseball activities suggests he could be in the mix to return in the near future. Earlier this season, Clarke made his MLB debut and posted a .230/.274/.372 slash line with eight doubles, three home runs, and six stolen bases. While he generated a modest .258 xwOBA in the batter's box, Clarke flashed immense upside as a defender. During his small taste of the majors, Clarke placed in the 98th percentile in Range and 97th percentile in sprint speed. While he remains on the sidelines, fantasy managers should expect Lawrence Butler to see most of the opportunities in the center field.Source: MLB.com
Athletics outfield prospect Luke Keaschall to Continue Rehab Assignment
Luke Keaschall (forearm) is expected to continue his rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul. Keaschall was serving as a DH throughout the majority of his first week of rehab and is now slated to see more time in the field before being slated off the 60-day injured list. Through his first 11 games of this rehab assignment, the former second-round pick has posted a .225/.319/.225 line with five stolen bases. Earlier this season, Keaschall made his MLB debut and immediately flashed upside at the major league level. Through his first seven games in Minnesota, Keaschall posted an elite .368/.538/.526 slash line with three doubles and five stolen bases. He is worth stashing in all standard formats ahead of his activation.Source: Dan Hayes

Micah Parsons Requests Trade Out of Dallas
Source: The 33rd Team - Ari Meirov
Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons has requested a trade, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team. Reporting earlier today indicated that Parsons was considering this move as a result of messy negotiations between him and the Cowboys regarding a contract extension. The three-time All-Pro pass-rusher is entering the final year of his rookie contract in 2025. In 63 career games for Dallas, Parsons has 52.5 sacks, 112 QB hits, 172 solo tackles, and nine forced fumbles. While the Cowboys are under no obligation to trade him, it's noteworthy that they've let negotiations break down with their best defensive player to such an extent. If Dallas continues to refuse to negotiate with Parsons on a new deal, it's possible that the 26-year-old could initiate a holdout.Jackson Chourio Officially Lands on Injured List With Strained Hamstring
Jackson Chourio (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to July 30) with a right-hamstring strain and added outfielder Brandon Lockridge to the active roster in a corresponding move. Chourio was forced from Tuesday's game early against the Chicago Cubs and didn't play in Wednesday's series finale. The 21-year-old star outfielder will miss at least the next 10 days, but the good news is it's not considered a serious hamstring strain, so there's a chance he'll be back from the IL when he's eligible to return on Aug. 9. The Brewers acquired Lockridge from the San Diego Padres on Thursday in exchange for injured lefty Nestor Cortes, but Blake Perkins should be the beneficiary of regular playing time in Milwaukee's outfield with Chourio out. Chourio is an absolute must-stash in all fantasy leagues.Source: Milwaukee Brewers
The Milwaukee Brewers announced on Friday that they placed outfielder Kenny Pickett Returns to Practice in Limited Capacity
Kenny Pickett (hamstring) will return to practice on Friday in a limited capacity, according to Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski. Pickett has been out of action since leaving the team's practice on July 26 after suffering a hamstring injury. Pickett is battling veteran Joe Flacco for the starting quarterback role in Cleveland, with rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders also on the fringes of the QB1 competition. A former first-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pickett spent 2024 serving as the backup to Jalen Hurts with the Philadelphia Eagles. He got into five games (one start), completing 59.5% of his passes for 291 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Reporting indicated that Pickett was trailing Flacco even before getting injured, so he needs to get back to full strength as quickly as possible.Source: ESPN - Daniel Oyefusi

The St. Louis Cardinals are still deciding who will take over the closer role after they shipped relieversBraelon Allen Returns to Jets Practice
Braelon Allen (knee) returned to practice on Friday, according to Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic. Allen missed the team's practices on both Wednesday and Thursday due to knee soreness. The second-year back has drawn rave reviews thus far in training camp, and early reporting indicates that the Jets plan to use more of a committee approach in the backfield between Allen, Breece Hall, and Isaiah Davis. As a rookie in 2024, Allen rushed for 334 yards and two touchdowns on 92 carries. Provided he can stay healthy, all indications are that he'll significantly increase his workload in 2025. If that happens, he could be a value as a late-round dart throw in fantasy drafts.Source: The Athletic - Zack Rosenblatt
New York Jets running back Nolan Gorman Returning From Injured List on Friday
Nolan Gorman (back) will come off the 10-day injured list before Friday's series opener against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park. Third baseman Nolan Arenado (shoulder) will go on the IL in a corresponding move. Gorman started a minor-league rehab assignment with Double-A Springfield on Tuesday and homered on Wednesday. It remains to be seen how the Cardinals will handle third base duties with Arenado on the shelf without a timetable to return, but Gorman could see regular at-bats between second and third base. The 25-year-old continues to be a disappointment on offense in his fourth year in the big leagues, though, so fantasy managers in mixed leagues should probably be content to leave him on the waiver wire. Gorman has slashed .219/.310/.408 with nine homers and 29 RBI in just 66 games in 2025.Source: The Athletic - Katie Woo
Katie Woo of The Athletic reports that St. Louis Cardinals infielder Xavier Worthy Avoids Concussion
Xavier Worthy (head) was not diagnosed with a concussion and has been cleared by NFL and team doctors, according to Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. Worthy left practice on Tuesday with a head injury, but he appears to have avoided significant missed time. The second-year wide receiver is in line for a key role in Kansas City's offense, especially with fellow wideout Rashee Rice likely facing an early-season suspension. As a rookie in 2024, Worthy played all 17 games, racking up 742 yards from scrimmage and nine total touchdowns. Chiefs coaches and quarterback Patrick Mahomes have been vocal about wanting to throw downfield more in 2025. That should benefit Worthy, whose speed is his greatest asset as a wide receiver.Source: The Kansas City Star - Sam McDowell
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Nolan Arenado Going on Injured List With Shoulder Injury
Nolan Arenado (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list before Friday's series opener against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park with a right-shoulder injury, according to sources. Arenado has been battling shoulder issues since early July and missed a handful of games to try to avoid the IL and hoped resting during the All-Star break would help. In his last 12 games, the 34-year-old veteran has hit .159/.213/.205 with two extra-base hits and one RBI. The 10-time Gold Glove winner remains excellent on defense, but his season OPS has dropped to .660, and he hasn't homered since June 21. There is no immediate timetable for Arenado's return, and fantasy managers definitely shouldn't feel compelled to hold onto him the rest of the year. Brendan Donovan, Nolan Gorman and Thomas Saggese are all options at 3B.Source: The Athletic - Katie Woo
The Athletic's Katie Woo reports that the St. Louis Cardinals will place third baseman DeVonta Smith Misses Fourth Practice
DeVonta Smith (back) is missing his fourth straight practice at training camp on Friday with back tightness, according to Brooks Kubena of The Athletic. However, on the bright side, Smith warmed up with the team and also ran some sprints with trainers, suggesting that he could be close to rejoining team drills this weekend. While it's something worth keeping an eye on for the Eagles' WR2, it sounds like fantasy managers shouldn't be worried at all that it's something that will linger into the regular season. The 26-year-old former 10th overall pick in 2021 out of Alabama has been one of the best No. 2 wideouts in football since entering the league, and he has two 1,000-yard seasons and 27 total touchdowns in four years in the NFL. RotoBaller has Smith ranked on the WR2/3 borderline for the upcoming campaign.Source: The Athletic - Brooks Kubena

Jayden Reed Practicing on Friday
Jayden Reed (toe) is practicing at training camp on Friday and made an amazing catch during 11-on-11 drills, according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. Reed suffered a minor toe injury in practice on Thursday but has returned the very next day, so he should be just fine moving forward as a key piece in Green Bay's passing attack with Christian Watson (knee) potentially missing half the 2025 season. The 25-year-old former second-rounder in 2023 was looking great in the first half of last year before slowing down in the second half, and he finished with a 55-857-6 line while adding 20 carries for 163 yards and another score in 17 regular-season games (10 starts). If Reed can get more playing time in two-receiver sets in his third year, he will absolutely be worth rostering as a WR3/4 given his efficiency and big-play ability.Source: The Athletic - Matt Schneidman
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Conor McGregor Enters UFC Testing Pool
Source: UFCAntiDoping.com
According to the UFC's Anti-Doping official website, Conor McGregor recently completed a testing session, signaling a potential return to the Octagon in 2026. Fighters must be in the UFC's testing pool for at least six months and pass two drug tests before being cleared to fight. While the news of the biggest star in the company's history eyeing a return is a significant development, McGregor has teased comebacks several times since suffering a broken tibia against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. The Notorious was scheduled to square off with Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in July of 2024, but McGregor pulled out for what the company cited as a broken toe. There's a long way to go before fight fans can get excited about his long-awaited comeback, but it appears the Irishman has completed the first step. He could be targeting the rumored Fourth of July fight card on the White House lawn for his return to action.Emanuel Wilson Suffers Leg Injury on Friday
Emanuel Wilson (leg) went down near the end zone during Friday's training camp practice holding his right leg after a pass sailed over his head. Players were kneeling and Wilson walked off the field with help from trainers. It's unclear exactly how serious Wilson's injury is, but it certainly doesn't sound great. Second-year back MarShawn Lloyd (groin) continues to deal with injuries and hasn't been practicing, so Green Bay's RB room has thinned out behind starter Josh Jacobs. The 26-year-old Wilson saw an expanded role behind Jacobs last year alongside Chris Brooks with Lloyd playing in only one game, but it amounted to 103 carries for 502 yards and four touchdowns in 17 regular-season games (no starts). It remains to be seen if Lloyd or Wilson will be ready for the regular-season opener, but their injuries definitely give Brooks more opportunity for the RB2 role.Source: Rich Rosa
Green Bay Packers running back Ian Happ Returns Against Orioles
Ian Happ (shin) is starting in left field and will hit seventh in Friday's series opener at Wrigley Field against the visiting Baltimore Orioles and left-hander Trevor Rogers. Happ did not play in Wednesday's series finale against the Milwaukee Brewers after fouling a ball off his left shin on Tuesday, but he's feeling better after also having a scheduled off day on Thursday and will return to action to begin the weekend. Fantasy managers may want to leave him out of their lineups, though, against a left-hander that is having a resurgent season in 2025 for the O's. The switch-hitting Happ is batting .243 (28-for-115) against left-handed pitchers this year, but he's hit only three of his 15 home runs on the year against them. Happ is also hitting .231 with three home runs since the All-Star break in mid-July.Source: MLB.com
Chicago Cubs outfielder Robert Hassell III Poised to Rejoin Big-League Roster
Robert Hassell III was scratched from Triple-A Rochester's lineup on Thursday, suggesting that he's poised to be called back up on Friday. He'd be taking the roster spot of Alex Call, who was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Hassell, the team's No. 9 prospect per MLB Pipeline, made his major-league debut earlier this year and went 17-for-78 (.218) with a homer, double, eight RBI, six runs scored and a steal in 21 games played. However, the 23-year-old was swinging the bat well at Rochester after being sent back down and now figures to be in line for regular playing time the rest of 2025 in the big leagues for the rebuilding Nats, at least until Dylan Crews (oblique) comes off the injured list. Hassell is a former first-rounder by the Padres in 2020.Source: MASN Sports - Mark Zuckerman
The Washington Nationals have four vacant active roster spots following Thursday's trade deadline, and outfield prospect Jose A. Ferrer the Favorite for Saves Now in D.C.?
MASN's Mark Zuckerman writes that the back end of the Washington Nationals bullpen is going to be a problem the rest of the year after they shipped closerMoises Ballesteros Sent Back to Minors
Moises Ballesteros and right-hander Gavin Hollowell to Triple-A Iowa on Friday to make room for their newly acquired trade assets in infielder Willi Castro, right-hander Andrew Kittredge and left-hander Taylor Rogers. After being called up on Wednesday, Ballesteros, the team's No. 2 prospect per MLB Pipeline, went 1-for-2 with a three-run double for the Cubs. The 21-year-old backstop will now head back to the farm to continue his development before potentially becoming an option again for depth in Chicago when rosters expand in September. The Venezuelan catcher doesn't have much left to prove at Iowa, as he's hit .332/.393/.496 with an .889 OPS, nine home runs, 57 RBI, 48 runs scored and four stolen bases in 86 games.Source: Watch Marquee - Taylor McGregor
The Chicago Cubs optioned rookie catcher/designated hitter Bryce Young and Starters Will Play First Two Preseason Games
Bryce Young and all of the team's starters will play in the first two preseason games, according to head coach Dave Canales. It's unorthodox, but the Panthers are hoping to see Young take the next step in Year 3 after he looked like a different QB following his benching in his sophomore season in 2024. In his final three games last year, Young threw seven touchdowns and no interceptions while also rushing for three TDs. The 24-year-old former first overall pick in 2023 out of Alabama doesn't have the strongest of arms, and his accuracy has also left a lot to be desired. However, the Panthers drafted receiver Tetairoa McMillan eighth overall this year to give Young a high-end aerial target that could take him to the next level. Nobody is rushing to draft Young in 2025, but he makes for a decent QB2 with some upside in superflex formats.Source: The Athletic - Joe Person

Ja'Tavion Sanders "Shining" in Practice
Ja'Tavion Sanders has been performing very well during the team's practice sessions. According to Alex Zietlow of The Observer, Sanders caught a tough pass on a flag route and was able to find the back of the end zone. Zeitlow described that Sanders is "still shining." This is an excellent sign for the second-year tight end as he looks to enjoy a breakout season. As a rookie, the former fourth-round pick (101st overall) caught 33 passes for 342 yards and a score. Sanders began to find his footing during Week 6 and would average a solid 43.5 yards per game over the next five games before suffering a neck injury, which limited him during the final stretch. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his development as he could be worth a late-round flier in deeper leagues.Source: Alex Zietlow
Carolina Panthers tight end Quinnen Williams is Week-to-Week with Calf Injury
Source: Rich Cimini
New York Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams (calf) is week-to-week with a calf injury, according to Jets head coach Aaron Glenn. Williams was not present at Friday's practice after hurting his calf on Thursday. Speaking to reporters after practice, Glenn said he will miss a week or two. While the three-time Pro-Bowler Williams carries huge name recognition, his fantasy production in IDP leagues is easily replaceable. His 12-sack 2022 campaign now appears to be an outlier, as he has failed to top six sacks in either of his past two seasons. Outside of leagues that require defensive tackle starters, he will not factor into most draft plans as the Jets look to build chemistry under new defensive coordinator Steve Wilks.Micah Parson Considering Drastic Measures Amid Contract Negotiations
Relations between the Dallas Cowboys and their star pass-rusher Micah Parsons have reportedly gotten so bad that Parsons is considering drastic measures, as reported by Dianna Russini of The Athletic. The two sides remain far apart in contract negotiations heading intoSamuel Basallo, Dylan Beavers Could Play in MLB This Season
Samuel Basallo and Dylan Beavers can play in the majors this season. The move to bring up Beavers would make sense given the O's just traded Cedric Mullins and Ramon Laureano. Beavers has been crushing the ball in Triple-A and is looking worthy of a chance to prove it at the big league level. As for Basallo, that situation seems more problematic with Adley Rutschman being the everyday catcher in Baltimore. There is certainly a way to put one of them at designated hitter and still use both players. The Orioles season doesn't appear to be going anywhere, so bringing up their prospects isn't a bad idea.Source: Roch Kubatko
According to Roch Kubatko, Baltimore Orioles general manager Mike Elias said he is hopeful that prospects Grayson Rodriguez Considering Having Surgery
Grayson Rodriguez (elbow) is debating on having surgery, which would likely sideline him for the rest of the season. The right-hander got a second opinion on his elbow and might undergo surgery to remove bone chips from his elbow. The right-hander has been sidelined all season long due to lat and elbow issues. Given the Orioles record, Rodriguez returning this season doesn't necessarily need to happen. The Orioles might decide to go with the surgery and correct the issue ahead of the 2026 season.Source: Roch Kubatko
