Marquise Brown Not Expected to Need Ankle Surgery
Marquise Brown (ankle) is making progress in his recovery from an ankle injury at training camp and is not expected to need surgery, according to head coach Andy Reid. "Making progress, but it's in that ankle area, so we just want to make sure it is right," Reid said. "That's how we want to come out of this thing, and he (Hollywood Brown) is making progress. But we'll just see. It's not serious - when I say serious, I'm talking about surgery. It doesn't look like he's going to have surgery, but we got to let it heal up and go." It's been over a week since Hollywood practiced, which means he almost certainly won't play in the preseason opener this Saturday against Arizona. Shoulder surgery limited the 28-year-old to just two regular-season games in 2024, and with plenty of competition for targets in KC, Brown is shaping up as a low-upside WR5/6 in fantasy.
