Kalani Sitake the Top Target for Penn State Coaching Job
BYU Cougars head coach Kalani Sitake is reportedly the new top target for the Penn State head-coaching job, according to On3's Brett McMurphy, Pete Nakos, and Chris Low. Sitake has led the BYU program since 2016 and has tallied an 83-44 record, including three 11-win seasons. BYU is set to face Texas Tech in the Big 12 title game on Saturday in what could be a College Football Playoff play-in game for the Cougars. A BYU alum, Sitake has spent most of his coaching career in the state of Utah, so it would be an interesting fit in State College if he decides to make the move to the Big Ten to coach the Nittany Lions. Penn State fired James Franklin midseason after a three-game losing skid.
