Chris Klieman Considering Stepping Down at Kansas State
Kansas State head coach Chris Klieman is considering stepping down, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel. Thamel reports that nothing has been finalized, but the two sides are in discussions. Klieman took over the Wildcats' program following five seasons at North Dakota State, where he won four FCS National Championships from 2014 to 2018. In seven seasons with Kansas State, he's racked up a 54-34 record, including a 10-4 season and Big 12 title in 2022. The 2025 campaign was a bit of a disappointment, as many expected the Wildcats to compete for a conference crown and a trip to the College Football Playoff. Instead, K-State posted a 6-6 record, going 0-3 against ranked teams and dropping a home game against Army in Week 2.
