Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland (toe) is questionable for Monday's encounter with the Miami Heat. He didn't suit up for Game 3 on Saturday because of a left great toe sprain, an Injury he battled toward the end of the regular season. As a result, Sam Merrill entered the starting lineup. However, Merrill went scoreless, with De'Andre Hunter and Ty Jerome combining for 34 points, 14 assists, and three steals. Jarrett Allen also returned to form, ending with a team-high 22 points, his highest of the postseason. If Garland remains sidelined, Hunter, Jerome, Allen, Evan Mobley, and Max Strus should all receive more scoring chances. Donovan Mitchell, coming off a 13-point effort, should turn things around.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report

Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (calf) is still recovering from the broken left Fibula he sustained during the January 1 win over the Orlando Magic. Fortunately, Ivey is moving in the right direction, with the team reporting that his current activities include "a progression of basketball shooting and skill work," which have been accompanied by "continued re-conditioning and strength work." He had a down year in 2023-24. Yet, with J.B. Bickerstaff at the Helm, Ivey averaged a career-high 17.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 40.9% shooting from downtown during the regular season. He will be re-evaluated in two weeks. Still, the Pistons are one game away from being bounced from the postseason by the Knicks, meaning Ivey likely won't be back in the lineup until the beginning of the 2025-26 campaign, assuming he doesn't suffer any setbacks along the way.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Pistons PR

Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Frederik Andersen exited Sunday's Game 4 against the New Jersey Devils with an apparent injury. Pyotr Kochetkov replaced Andersen in the crease during the second period after he was involved in a collision with Devils forward Timo Meier. Andersen saved six of seven shots before exiting. The Hurricanes No. 1 has been in superb form during the postseason, as he entered Sunday's contest with a 1.48 goals-against average and a .943 save percentage. Losing him for an extended stretch would be a blow for the Hurricanes, although Kochetkov has proven himself as a capable performer, posting a 27-16-3 record during the regular season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: Sportsnet

St. Louis Blues winger Jake Neighbours notched a game-high three points in Sunday's 5-1 win against the Winnipeg Jets. Neighbours tied the game at one near the end of the first period and collected two assists in the contest. The 23-year-old also had three hits in the game, logging 15:43 of action. The Blues offense has finally clicked in the series, and Neighbours has been one of the main men in attack. With four games played, he has tallied one goal and four assists in the matchup. With scoring machine Jordan Kyrou on the same line as him, Neighbours is perfectly set up for further success against the Jets.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington saved 30 of 31 shots in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets. The Blues managed to tie the first-round series at two despite falling behind in Sunday's game. Kyle Connor beat Binnington in the first period, but he rebounded well from the setback, finishing with 19 consecutive saves. Binnington allowed six goals in the first two games of the series, but he stifled the Jets offense on home ice, giving up three goals in two contests. The Blues No. 1 now holds a 2.29 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage for the playoffs. With the series shifting back to Winnipeg for Game 5, Binnington must prove that he can also do the business for St. Louis on the road.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

Montreal Canadiens winger Patrik Laine (upper body) is likely to miss a second consecutive game on Sunday against the Washington Capitals. The Finnish forward did not participate in the morning skate as he continues to recover from an upper-body injury. Laine has recorded one assist, six shots, and a minus-two rating over two games in the series. In his absence, Ivan Demidov joined the first power-play unit in Friday's Game 3. Montreal secured a big 6-3 victory on Friday night, but the Russian youngster was quiet and is still seeking his first postseason points. He has recorded one shot on goal and a minus-two rating against Washington, averaging 13:28 of ice time.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: Dan Rosen

Montreal Canadiens goaltender Sam Montembeault (lower body) is considered day-to-day. After suffering a lower-body injury in Friday's 6-3 victory over the Washington Capitals, he is likely to miss Sunday's Game 4. Montembeault has registered a 2.76 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage in the first-round series. Jakub Dobes is set to take over the crease on Sunday, with Cayden Primeau serving as his backup. Montembeault's injury is a setback for the Canadiens, but Dobes held his own during the regular season with a 7-4-3 record, demonstrating that the team can rely on him. Coming in for Montembeault on Friday, he saved seven of eight shots.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: Renaud Lavoie

Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran was seemingly unstoppable at the plate during Sunday's game against the Cleveland Guardians. This was a great series for Duran who went 3-for-9 with a walk, triple, and two RBI during the doubleheader on Saturday. He returned on Sunday and went 4-for-6 with three singles, a double, and one RBI in the win. It's worth noting that Duran is currently on an 11-game hit streak at the plate. He got off to a bit of a slow start to the season, but has been heating up at the plate over the last few weeks.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: mlb.com

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Tarik Skubal put together an excellent performance against the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday. The left-hander tossed six scoreless innings, allowing four hits, and striking out 11 batters in the win. Skubal didn't have many problems during this outing as he only allowed singles and didn't walk anyone. Skubal gave up seven earned runs during his first two starts of the season, but since then he's only allowed one earned run in four starts. The reigning AL CY Young winner is one of the best pitchers in baseball and appears to be at the top of his game right now. He figures to keep the good times rolling against the Los Angeles Angels in his next start.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: mlb.com

Washington Capitals forward Aliaksei Protas (foot) is considered a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup against the Montreal Canadiens. Protas fully participated in Saturday's practice and could return to action after a nine-game absence. The Capitals have averaged 3.00 goals per game in the playoffs, but Protas could provide an additional boost to the offense. He had a breakout campaign with 30 goals and 66 points in 76 games. Protas is a candidate to join the top six, although the Capitals may reintroduce the 24-year-old into the lineup in a reduced role, especially with Anthony Beauvillier performing well on the first line.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: NHL.com

Washington Capitals goaltender Logan Thompson (lower body) is a game-time decision for Sunday's contest against the Montreal Canadiens. The in-form netminder suffered a lower-body injury in Game 3 on Friday but might be available to play on Sunday after participating in the morning skate. Thompson has played a big role in Washington's success in the first-round series, posting a 2.73 goals-against average with a .917 save percentage. If he isn't available on Sunday, the Capitals will turn to Charlie Lindgren, who stopped four of five shots during a relief effort on Friday night.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: NHL.com

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw (toe, knee) is scheduled to make two rehab starts for Triple-A Oklahoma City this week. The veteran southpaw continues to ramp up as he's working his way back from an offseason toe and knee injuries. The plan is for Kershaw to start on Tuesday and throw around five innings or 75 pitches. After that, Kershaw will have regular rest before taking the ball again next Sunday. The 37-year-old isn't eligible to return from the 60-day injured list until mid-May. The expectation is that Kershaw will be a regular in the starting rotation once he's healthy. Kershaw might be worth stashing for fantasy managers in need of pitching help.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Fabian Ardaya

San Diego Padres outfielder Jackson Merrill (hamstring) was able to take batting practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. This is a positive step forward for Merrill who is working his way back from a right hamstring strain. The hope is that Merrill can get into some minor league games within the next few days. If everything goes well, Merrill should be able to get back in the Padres lineup in the early stages of May. Fantasy managers should continue to hold Merrill as he should be back in the mix soon.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Sammy Levitt

Atlanta Braves catcher Sean Murphy (rest) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Murphy will get a rest day here after starting in the first two games of the series. He went 2-for-6 with a solo homer and two runs scored during the first two contests. In his absence, Drake Baldwin will start behind the plate and bat eighth against right-hander Brandon Pfaadt. Baldwin is viewed as one of the team's top prospects, but isn't a great add in fantasy rosters while splitting up time with Murphy behind the plate.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: mlb.com

Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Will Smith (rest) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Smith returned from the injured list on Friday, but has gone hitless over the last two games. That being said, the Dodgers have decided to give Smith the day off on Sunday to rest and hopefully get back on track. In his absence, Austin Barnes will do the catching and bat ninth against left-hander Bailey Falter. Fantasy managers can pull Smith from their lineups on Sunday ahead of first pitch.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: mlb.com

Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reports that the Minnesota Vikings have signed former University of Minnesota quarterback Max Brosmer as an undrafted free agent. According to Pelissero, the deal includes $250,000 in guaranteed money. The Vikings signed 19 undrafted rookies following the draft. It's a smart move for the organization, adding more quarterback depth on the roster. Brosmer was a fifth-year collegiate athlete, but 2024 was his first season as a Golden Gopher. He was fine, completing 66.5% of his passes for 2,828 yards and an 18:6 TD:INT ratio, though it wasn't his best work. That came in 2023 when he recorded 3,459 yards and 29 TDs, adding another 127 yards and five scores on the ground for the University of New Hampshire. He'll have a shot to surpass quarterbacks Brett Rypien and the newly acquired Sam Howell on the depth chart.--Alex CiullaSource: Tom Pelissero

The New York Jets are signing former Michigan Wolverine running back Donovan Edwards as an undrafted free agent. By all intents and purposes, the Jets had a solid draft, but they didn't stop adding fantastic talent there. The 22-year-old has a nice blend of power and speed (4.44 40-yard dash), though he didn't do anything too noteworthy over his final two seasons at Michigan. However, a sophomore campaign that saw him rush for 7.1 yards per carry over 140 attempts (991 yards) is plenty intriguing enough. Edwards enters a less-than-favorable situation in New York, as he's likely to spend plenty of time behind returning teammates Breece Hall and Braelon Allen. He may be able to work his way up to third on the depth chart and potentially enter the conversation as a handcuff in deep formats. Still, it seems unlikely he'll see much playing time in 2025.--Alex CiullaSource: Zach Pressnell

San Francisco Giants second baseman Tyler Fitzgerald remains out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers. The 27-year-old was scratched on Saturday with a chest contusion that he suffered making a diving play on a grounder the night before and will now miss his second straight contest. Fantasy managers should still consider the right-handed hitter day-to-day. Christian Koss will fill in at second base and bat ninth on Sunday. Koss went 1-for-3 with a run scored on Saturday against the Rangers and will face RHP Jack Leiter on Sunday.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBallerSource: San Francisco Giants

New York Yankees third baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. will not serve a one-game suspension related to his ejection for arguing with the umpire during a game on April 17. The 27-year-old proceeded to tweet about the incident from the clubhouse while the game was still going on, which is against MLB policies. A settlement was reached that will allow him to avoid suspension. Heading into Sunday's contest against the Blue Jays, the left-handed hitter was hitting just .172, but has seven home runs, 15 RBI, 15 runs scored, and six stolen bases to go along with a strong 12.6 percent walk rate. The low average hurts his fantasy value in leagues that score that, but the other production is solid in the other four standard categories. --Jarod Rupp - RotoBallerSource: Gary Phillips

The Atlanta Falcons have signed former San Jose State Spartan wide receiver Nick Nash as an undrafted free agent. Despite not making any flashy offensive selections in the draft, the Falcons wasted no time adding talent afterward. Nash became just the fourth FBS player in history to win the triple crown, registering 104 receptions, 1,382 yards, and 16 touchdowns in 2024. He spent the first three seasons of his tenure at San Jose State playing quarterback, transitioning to wideout to start the 2022 campaign. The 24-year-old didn't do much that year (six catches, 62 yards, three TDs), but picked it up in 2023 with a 47/728/8 receiving line. Nash's athleticism won't blow you away, but he recorded 45.9% of the team's receiving yards and touchdowns last season, making him one of the more intriguing undrafted assets.--Alex CiullaSource: Jeremy Fowler

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman had a forgettable day on Sunday, yielding six earned runs in just two-and-two-thirds innings. The veteran threw 71 pitches in all, striking out two and walking a whopping five batters during the short outing. After being removed from the game, the 34-year-old was ejected for arguing with the umpire. The ugly outing leaves the 2x All-Star with a 4.50 ERA (3.89 FIP) over six starts with an 11:28 BB:K in 34 IP. His next start lines up with Cleveland next weekend, and at least a home start in Toronto should help him get back on track.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBallerSource: Toronto Blue Jays

The Tennessee Titans have signed former Miami Hurricane wide receiver Xavier Restrepo as an undrafted free agent, reuniting him with his college quarterback and first-overall pick Cam Ward. Ward was reportedly a "major advocate" for the wideout, and the two will now get an opportunity to take their collegiate connection to the NFL field. Restrepo spent five seasons in Miami, but didn't break out until 2023 when he recorded an 85/1,092/6 line in 13 games. With the arrival of Ward the following season, the 23-year-old upped his TD total to 11, while notching more yards (1,127) and YPC (16.3) -- leading the Canes in every significant statistical category for pass-catchers. Whether he'll make his way onto the field in three WR sets remains to be seen. However, outside of teammates Calvin Ridley and Tyler Lockett, his other target competition isn't too daunting.--Alex CiullaSource: Turron Davenport

Texas Rangers outfielder Wyatt Langford is sitting in Sunday's series finale against the Giants. It is simply a day of rest for the 23-year-old who has played in six consecutive games since coming off the IL after dealing with an oblique injury. The former first-round draft pick had been cruising at the plate, collecting three three-hit performances over the last week, and is slashing .344/.419/.688 on the year with six home runs and four stolen bases. Dustin Harris will get the start in left field and bat eighth for the Rangers on Sunday. Harris is hitless in his last nine at-bats and has a 1:9 BB:K through 25 plate appearances, so there are probably better DFS plays available.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBallerSource: Texas Rangers PR

The Braves claimed pitcher Ian Anderson off waivers on Sunday from the Los Angeles Angels. It will be the 26-year-old's second go-round with the Braves after they traded him to Los Angeles earlier this year. Once a promising prospect who was even a key rotation piece during the Braves' 2021 World Series run, the righty hasn't been able to replicate that success ever since, and missed nearly all of 2023 and most of 2024 in his recovery from Tommy John surgery. Anderson is out of minor league options, so he'll start with the big league club, although it's unclear if they plan to use him as a starter or reliever. He posted an 11.57 ERA, 2.57 WHIP, and 2.0 percent K-BB% over nine-and-a-third innings of relief with the Angels, and is best left to the waiver wire for now.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBallerSource: Atlanta Braves

The Miami Marlins optioned starting pitcher Connor Gillispie to Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday and recalled reliever Luarbert Arias. Gillispie made the team's opening day roster, but after allowing seven earned runs in two innings in his latest start, they'll send him back to the minors for more development. Over six starts this season, the righty posted an 8.65 ERA (5.65 FIP), 1.65 WHIP, and a 9.8 percent K-BB%. Both Eury Perez and Ryan Weathers began rehab assignments this weekend, so the Marlins should have options in how to replace Gillispie in the rotation in the coming weeks. Arias was with the big league club earlier this month, posting a gaudy 11.37 ERA, 2.05 WHIP, and 6.3 percent K-BB% over six-and-a-third innings of work, leaving little relevance for fantasy purposes.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBallerSource: Miami Marlins

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins (illness) is out of the team's lineup for their series finale against the Detroit Tigers on Sunday. The 30-year-old has reportedly been battling an illness over the last few days, though he did play all 18 innings across the team's doubleheader on Saturday, so it seems like just some extra rest for him. Mullins has been excellent this season, slashing .279/.421/.547 with six long balls, five doubles, and five steals. Perhaps even more impressive, he's raised his walk rate to a robust 17.1%. If it stands, that'd be the highest figure of his career by far. Dylan Carlson is covering center field, batting sixth for the O's in their series finale with the Tigers.--Alex CiullaSource: Roch Kubatko

Baltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman (hand) will not be in the team's lineup on Sunday when they line up against the Detroit Tigers on the road. The switch-hitting backstop was apparently hit in the hand on Saturday during Baltimore's second game of the doubleheader, though he was not pulled from the contest. Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com reports that he'll be available off the bench for the series finale. Rutschman has been struggling at the dish over the last few weeks, tallying just five hits (one home run) over his previous 37 at-bats (.135). Per statcast, the former first-round pick is due for some positive regression, as his xBA of .276 is quite a ways off his actual .209. Gary Sanchez is behind the plate and batting fifth against Detroit to close out the series.--Alex CiullaSource: Roch Kubatko

Baltimore Orioles infielder Jordan Westburg (hamstring) will be out of Sunday's lineup for the team's matchup against the Detroit Tigers. Per Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com, the 26-year-old has a sore hamstring that he felt yesterday. Fortunately, the injury does not sound too serious, as Kubatko also noted he'll be available off the bench if needed. Westburg collected four hits in nine at-bats on Saturday across the team's double-header, so he may just be getting an extra bit of rest. He recently broke out of a 0-for-26 slump, so hopefully he'll rejoin the team in a few days. Teammate Jackson Holliday is manning the keystone for the O's on Sunday, batting ninth.--Alex CiullaSource: Roch Kubatko

Washington Nationals pitcher Michael Soroka (biceps) is set for his second rehab start on Sunday with Double-A Harrisburg and is expected to go at least five innings. He landed on the injured list earlier this month with a biceps strain, but could rejoin the big-league squad soon if all goes well in his start for the Senators. The Calgary native tossed two innings in his first outing for Harrisburg, letting up two hits and two earned runs over two innings -- punching out three batters. Soroka has never been known for his ability to miss bats, relying on finesse to get batters out. However, he hasn't been a valuable fantasy asset in quite some time. He doesn't appeal much to fantasy managers outside of a potential streaming option in deeper formats.--Alex CiullaSource: Spencer Nusbaum

Pittsburgh Pirates first baseman Spencer Horwitz (wrist) begins his rehab assignment on Sunday, batting leadoff for the Double-A Altoona Curve. The Radford alum has yet to suit up in 2025 as he battled back from wrist surgery that was performed to address "chronic issues." Horwitz hit well the last time we saw him in the big leagues, slashing .265/.357/.433 with 12 homers, 19 doubles, 40 RBI, and 46 runs scored across 328 at-bats. He consistently hit for a high average during his time in the minors and should boost fantasy managers in that department once his rehab program is complete. The 27-year-old has also displayed excellent plate discipline throughout his career.--Alex CiullaSource: Jon Mozes
