Tyler O'Neill Remains Out on Wednesday
Tyler O'Neill (soreness) remains out of the starting lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the Cleveland Guardians. O'Neill will miss his second straight game while he deals with general soreness. Interim manager Tony Mansolino did mention that O'Neill is available off the bench during Wednesday's contest. He also mentioned that O'Neill is trending towards playing in Thursday's game. Jackson Holliday will serve as the designated hitter while Ramon Laureano plays right field on Wednesday.Source: mlb.com

X-Rays Come Back Negative on Matt Chapman's Elbow
Matt Chapman (elbow) was forced to leave Wednesday's tilt early against the Atlanta Braves when he was hit by a pitch in his left elbow, but MLB.com's Justice delos Santos reports that X-rays on Chapman's elbow came back negative. Before leaving, he went 1-for-2 at the plate with his 14th home run of the year, two RBI, two runs scored, a walk and a strikeout. Casey Schmitt moved from second base to third base for San Fran. The 32-year-old veteran's injury doesn't look serious, and the Giants may have removed him as a precaution while being up by six runs at the time. The Giants have a day off on Thursday before starting a new series on Friday against the New York Mets, so Chapman could be back then without missing a game. Fantasy managers will want to check back on Friday.Source: MLB.com - Justice delos Santos

Rangers Activate Jon Gray
Jon Gray (forearm) from the injured list on Wednesday, according to MLB.com's Kennedi Landry. Gray will return to the big-league roster this week after allowing a run with two walks and five strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings and 61 pitches in his final minor-league rehab outing for Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday. The 33-year-old veteran threw 37 of his 61 pitches for strikes in what was his third rehab appearance. Gray should return to Texas' starting rotation, but it's unclear when he might make his first start of the season. And when he does debut in 2025, fantasy managers would be wise to stay away, as Texas figures to ease the veteran righty back into the fold. He hasn't been as dominant as many people thought with the move from Colorado to Texas, posting a 4.16 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 362:121 K:BB in his 76 outings (72 starts) in his three years with the Rangers.Source: MLB.com - Kennedi Landry

Michael McGreevy to Stick in Rotation, Will Start Sunday Versus Padres
Michael McGreevy will assume a regular rotation spot on the major league roster, with his next start scheduled to come Sunday at home against the Padres. The 25-year-old has been called up from Triple-A on multiple occasions this year, and has pitched well, logging a 3.49 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and a 17:3 K:BB in 28 1/3 innings pitched (five appearances, four starts). The low strikeout rate of 15.2 percent doesn't move the needle for fantasy, but displaying near-elite control during his minor league career and even in the majors should help keep his WHIP low, and the right-hander should offer a decent ERA based on this year's and last year's MLB results. He's rostered in just nine percent of Yahoo! leagues for managers looking for pitching help.Source: Katie Woo
St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Chase DeLauter Undergoes Surgery on Hand, Out 6-8 Weeks
Chase DeLauter (hand) visited wrist/hand specialist Dr. Thomas Graham in Philadelphia on Tuesday, and, after undergoing an MRI on his ailing right hand, it was determined that he had a hook of the hamate fracture. The Guardians' second-ranked prospect underwent surgery on Wednesday, and recovery time is typically 6-to-8 weeks, which at the low end would leave the door open for a late-season return, but would basically end his season if it ends up being on the high end. It's yet another injury-plagued season for the oft-injured 23-year-old, and if he's played his last game of 2025, it would result in a .278/.383/.476 slash line with five home runs and a 22:23 BB:K in 34 games at Triple-A Columbus. The former first-rounder should be fully recovered by the spring and make a push for an MLB debut next year.Source: GuardsInsider
Cleveland Guardians outfield prospect Travis Bazzana Smacks Three Doubles on Tuesday
Travis Bazzana went 3-for-3 for Double-A Akron on Tuesday, doubling three times and drawing a walk in the contest. The Guardians' top-ranked prospect drove in one run and scored twice as well. He's now 6-for-12 (.500) in the three games since coming off the injured list. The 22-year-old missed almost two months with a right oblique strain, but clearly looks fully recovered after this most recent performance. For the season, the first overall pick from the 2024 MLB Draft is hitting .253 with five home runs and a strong .375 OBP thanks to a high 14.7 percent walk rate in 42 games played, chipping in nine steals along the way. Look for him to make a push for the majors in 2026.Source: MiLB.com

Jonny Farmelo has Resumed Baseball Activities, Eyeing Mid-August Return
Jonny Farmelo (rib) resumed baseball activities this past week, including taking full swings. The Mariners' sixth-ranked prospect has been on the shelf after suffering a stress reaction in his rib, last playing in a game at High-A Everett on May 23. He also got a late start to the season, recovering from a torn ACL in 2024, which has resulted in a total of only 15 games played this year. In those 15 games, the 20-year-old slashed .288/.348/.610 with five home runs. With the big power comes lots of swing and miss, striking out at a 30.3 percent rate in his limited 2025 sample. His best tool might be his speed, though, and after suffering the ACL injury, the former 29th-overall draft pick has yet to steal a base this year, so keep an eye on that when he returns around mid-August.Source: Marine Layer Podcast

Henry Bolte Promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas
Henry Bolte has been promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas after a productive start to the season at Double-A. The Athletics' sixth-ranked prospect slashed .278/.378/.424 with seven home runs and 31 steals in 80 games. A 27.4 percent strikeout rate is something to keep an eye on, although it was much improved compared to last year's 38.8 percent rate in 54 Double-A games. The 21-year-old also stole 46 bags last year and 32 in 2023, so his speed is a real asset. If the former second-rounder can continue to hit, a debut in the majors in 2026 could become a reality, but for now, he is not a must-stash player in dynasty fantasy leagues.Source: MiLB Central
Athletics outfield prospect David Festa Placed on Injured List With Shoulder Inflammation
David Festa (shoulder) is being placed on the 15-day injured list on Wednesday with right-shoulder inflammation, and Travis Adams has been recalled from Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move, per Dan Hayes of The Athletic. It could be why Festa struggled so much in his last start on Monday against the Los Angeles Dodgers, when he allowed four runs and three long balls in his 5 1/3 innings of work. It's too soon to know if the 25-year-old will be ready to return from the IL when he's eligible for activation on Aug. 6. The former 13th-round pick is in just his second year in the big leagues and has posted a 5.40 ERA (4.84 FIP) and 1.27 WHIP with 53 strikeouts and 19 walks in 53 1/3 innings over his 11 outings (10 starts) for the Twins in 2025. It's unclear who will replace Festa in Minnesota's starting rotation.Source: The Athletic - Dan Hayes
Minnesota Twins right-hander Thairo Estrada Takes On-Field Batting Practice
Thairo Estrada (thumb) took on-field batting practice at Coors Field on Wednesday before the series finale against the St. Louis Cardinals, according to The Denver Gazette's Kevin Henry. It's a big step for Estrada as he tries to return from a left-thumb sprain that landed him on the 10-day injured list last Friday. The 29-year-old is eligible to rejoin the Rockies at any time, but it remains to be seen if the team wants to see him go on a minor-league rehab assignment first. If he doesn't need a rehab assignment, it's possible that he'll be activated in time for this weekend's series against the Baltimore Orioles. Even though he's hit .284 (33-for-116) since joining the Rockies late in 2025 due to injury, Estrada doesn't provide much for fantasy managers in the way of power or speed. He has only two homers, 18 RBI and one stolen base.Source: The Denver Gazette - Kevin Henry
