Minnesota Twins right-hander David Festa (shoulder) is being placed on the 15-day injured list on Wednesday with right-shoulder inflammation, and Travis Adams has been recalled from Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move, per Dan Hayes of The Athletic. It could be why Festa struggled so much in his last start on Monday against the Los Angeles Dodgers, when he allowed four runs and three long balls in his 5 1/3 innings of work. It's too soon to know if the 25-year-old will be ready to return from the IL when he's eligible for activation on Aug. 6. The former 13th-round pick is in just his second year in the big leagues and has posted a 5.40 ERA (4.84 FIP) and 1.27 WHIP with 53 strikeouts and 19 walks in 53 1/3 innings over his 11 outings (10 starts) for the Twins in 2025. It's unclear who will replace Festa in Minnesota's starting rotation.--Keith Hernandez
