Jared Butler Moves to Phoenix
Jared Butler has signed a one-year contract with the Phoenix Suns. The 24-year-old joins his fifth NBA team after the Philadelphia 76ers declined to pick up a $2.3 million team option on Butler's contract for the 2025-26 season. Butler moved to Philadelphia in February in a trade with the Washington Wizards and had a great time on an injury-ravaged team, averaging 11.5 points, 4.9 assists, and 1.1 steals in 24.4 minutes. Although it's unlikely he will reach the same productivity in Phoenix, Butler could carve out a decent role in the rotation as a backup playmaker behind Devin Booker and Jalen Green.
