Cal Raleigh Starting on the Bench Versus Brewers
Cal Raleigh will get the day off in Wednesday's series finale against the visiting Milwaukee Brewers at T-Mobile Park. Mitch Garver will do the catching for right-hander Luis Castillo and will hit sixth against Brewers right-hander Quinn Priester. This will be Raleigh's second day off since June 9. The 28-year-old is having a season for the ages and hit his 39th home run of the year in Tuesday's 1-0 victory over Milwaukee. Not only is the switch-hitting catcher by far and away the most valuable fantasy backstop in 2025, but he's one of the best overall hitters as well. In addition to his career-high 39 long balls, Raleigh has contributed 84 RBI, 68 runs scored, 11 stolen bases and a .256/.370/.619 slash line with an elite .988 OPS in 367 at-bats. His 39 homers and 84 RBI lead all of baseball. Garver is hitting .228 on the year with six homers in 158 at-bats.
