Kyle Tucker Taking the Day Off After Fouling Ball Off his Knee
Kyle Tucker (knee) is taking a rare day off in Wednesday's series finale against the visiting Kansas City Royals at Wrigley Field after fouling a ball off his knee on Tuesday. Seiya Suzuki will play right field and will hit second, while catcher Carson Kelly will serve as the designated hitter and bat cleanup versus Royals right-hander Seth Lugo. Reese McGuire is doing the catching and hitting in the eight-hole. Suzuki has been one of the best fantasy producers all year, and he's also hitting .333 with a home run and two RBI in six career at-bats against Lugo. This is Tucker's first day off sine June 17, but he's expected to be back in action for Friday's series opener in Chicago against the White Sox after a scheduled day off on Thursday. Tucker has fit in nicely with the Cubs in his first season on the North Side, slashing .275/.383/.493 with an .876 OPS, 18 homers, 57 RBI, 71 runs and 23 steals in 371 at-bats.
