Detroit Red Wings defenseman Olli Maatta (illness) has been battling pneumonia, it was revealed on Friday. He has been held out of the last four games with an illness, but Maatta shared some further details following Friday's practice, saying that he was dealing with pneumonia. The Finnish blue-liner is feeling much better now and will be a game-time decision for Saturday's contest against Ottawa. Maatta has found himself a nice role in Motown this season, averaging nearly 20 minutes of ice time and posting 10 points in 25 games with a plus-11 rating. His return would be a nice boost for a team that will be trying to end a four-game skid.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
