8 months agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Odubel Herrera (hamstring) took batting practice and threw long toss on Thursday, and manager Gabe Kapler said Herrera is penciled in to play in the third or fourth Grapefruit League game next week. Herrera tweaked his leg running the bases this week, but it doesn't seem to be very serious. Barring any setbacks, he should be fine for Opening Day. Herrera disappointed last year and sacrificed a lot of contact for a career-high in home runs. He also didn't run nearly as much and should be targeted for outfield depth in the later rounds of mixed drafts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
