Mookie Betts Getting An Off Day
4 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder/infielder Mookie Betts will take a day to rest in Thursday's series finale against the Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field. The lefty hitting Jason Heyward will make the start in right field and will hit seventh against Brewers right-hander Tobias Myers. Betts returned from a fractured hand on Monday and played in the first three games of the series in Milwaukee, notching two hits in each game and finishing 6-for-14 with a homer, three RBI and a stolen base. The 31-year-old former MVP and eight-time All-Star has picked up right where he left off earlier this year and is a must-start in fantasy lineups when he's active. Betts will surely be back in the two-hole in the lineup for Friday's series opener against the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium. Heyward, who is hitting just over the Mendoza Line in 168 at-bats in 2024, will be a low-upside DFS sleeper on Thursday.
