Matt Moore Opening Season On Seven-Day Injured List
Boston Red Sox left-handed pitcher Matt Moore (arm) will open the season on the seven-day injured list due to arm soreness. Moore was invited to camp as a non-roster player. Fantasy managers should monitor his status, but the team did not provide a definitive timeline. During camp, Moore tossed just four innings and held a 2:2 BB:K. Last season, the southpaw logged 48 1/3 innings with the Los Angeles Angels and posted a 5.03 ERA and a 1.34 WHIP. He tallied 51 punchouts and served up walks at a high 12.4 percent walk rate. Under the hood, he generated a modest 4.25 xERA with a high 9.2 percent barrel rate.
