Mac Jones Iffy to Play in Week 6?
Mac Jones (knee, oblique) is dealing with multiple injuries and is officially questionable to play in Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road on Sunday, per The Athletic's David Lombardi. Brock Purdy (toe) has already been ruled out for the fourth time this year due to a turf-toe injury, so the Niners are expecting the gritty Jones to play through his injuries this weekend. The 27-year-old Alabama product has been dealing with a minor PCL sprain in his knee early this season, and he suffered an oblique injury in last week's win over the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night. His injuries didn't stop him from carving up the Rams' defense for over 300 yards and two touchdowns last week. While an encore probably isn't in the cards for Jones, especially without receiver Ricky Pearsall (knee), he'll be in play as a low-end QB2 in leagues that start two QBs.
