Logan O'Hoppe Resting Against A's
6 months agoLos Angeles Angels catcher Logan O'Hoppe is getting the day off on Wednesday in the series finale against the visiting division-rival Oakland Athletics. Matt Thaiss will do the catching for right-hander Roansy Contreras and will bat ninth against A's right-hander Joey Estes. O'Hoppe will get a much-needed day of rest after starting in each of the team's last 11 contests. He has been hot at the plate in the month of June, going 19-for-61 (.312) with three home runs, six doubles, eight RBI, a stolen base and 13 runs scored in 18 games played to raise his season slash line to .269/.320/.457 with 10 home runs and 34 RBI in 234 at-bats. O'Hoppe is valuable in all fantasy formats at the shallow catching position. Thaiss, meanwhile, is a DFS option to avoid at the position with a .217 average (13-for-60) with only one homer in 2024.
