Kawann Short To Have Season-Ending Surgery
4 years agoCarolina Panthers defensive tackle Kawann Short (shoulder) will have season-ending shoulder surgery for the second year in a row. Short only appeared in two games in 2019 after suffering a partially torn rotator cuff and had only played in three of five games in 2020, recording just six tackles (three solo). For a Panthers Defense that was one of the worst against the run last season, losing Short for a second straight year is more bad news. Through five games, Carolina has allowed 133.4 rushing yards per game, the eighth-most in the NFL. Consider them a very shaky streaming option in Week 6 against the Bears, with Chicago running back David Montgomery being a solid RB2 choice for fantasy managers.
