Kawann Short Cleared For Football Activities
3 years agoFormer Carolina Panthers two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kawann Short (shoulder), who had shoulder surgery last season, has been cleared for football activities and is already in talks with a handful of teams. The 32-year-old eight-year veteran was cut by the Panthers in February, which gave the team $8.6 million in salary cap space while generating $11 million in dead money. He was able to play in just three games in 2020 because of his shoulder injury, but he's generating more interest as a potential interior run-stopper on early downs now that he's healthy again.
