Jon Gray Whiffs Seven In Victory Over Atlanta
Jon Gray earned the win on Tuesday when he allowed two runs on five hits with two walks and seven strikeouts over five innings in a 5-4 win over the Atlanta Braves. Gray was in control for the most part in this one, allowing just a Freddie Freeman RBI single in the first and a Dansby Swanson RBI double in the fourth inning. He also managed to punch out seven batters but this was just his first win since July 30. He also hasn't recorded a quality start in six straight turns. Gray now owns an 8.10 record, 4.16 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and 140:56 K/BB ratio over 136 1/3 innings (26 starts). He'll look to pick up another win in his next start against the Nationals on the road.
