Jets Sign Alex Erickson, Dane Cruikshank
1 year agoThe New York Jets signed free-agent wide receiver Alex Erickson and safety Dane Cruikshank to undisclosed deals on Thursday. Erickson played in only two games with the Washington Commanders last year and wasn't used at all on offense, although he returned four punts for 25 yards. In seven NFL seasons, he has 96 receptions on 152 targets for 1,141 yards and one touchdown in 99 games (14 starts). Cruikshank didn't play at all last year due to a hamstring injury, but he has five years experience in the NFL, mostly on special teams. In 52 career games (four starts) with the Titans and Bears, he has 66 tackles (46 solo), an interception and a forced fumble. Erickson and Cruikshank will provide special teams depth for the Jets.
