3 years agoThe New England Patriots officially signed linebacker Jamie Collins on Wednesday, according to his agent, David Canter. Collins was released by the Detroit Lions last week after playing just two games for them this season. The 31-year-old made his one and only Pro Bowl team back in 2015 with the Patriots, and this will be his third stint with the team. His familiarity with New England's defensive scheme should allow him to step in and have a significant role pretty quickly. Before getting cut by Detroit, Collins had 10 tackles (seven solo) and a fumble recovery. The Patriots defense ranks 13th in overall fantasy points through four games and have a mouthwatering Week 5 matchup against the one-win Houston Texans.
