2 years agoThe New England Patriots released running back James Robinson on Monday because of injuries. The veteran running back couldn't stay on the field during offseason workouts, according to a source. Robinson's career has taken a turn for the worse since he suffered a torn Achilles in December of 2021. He came out of nowhere as an undrafted free agent to rush for over 1,000 yards with the Jacksonville Jaguars in his rookie season in 2020. Before tearing his Achilles the following year, he had 767 rushing yards and a career-high eight TDs on 164 carries, but he totaled just 425 rushing yards with the Jaguars and New York Jets last year.
