Jake Bauers Back In Wednesday's Lineup
2 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Jake Bauers (knee) is back in the team's starting lineup on Wednesday against the Cleveland Guardians, starting in right field and batting seventh against right-hander Shane Bieber. A right-knee injury had kept Bauers out of action for the last three days, but he's back in there on Wednesday in a tough matchup against Cleveland's ace. The 27-year-old has played in just one game in New York this year, but his first plate appearance on Wednesday will be his first of the year. In 21 games at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Bauers went 21-for-69 (.304) with five doubles, a triple, nine home runs, 20 RBI and five steals. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues that are looking for power in the short term should consider Bauers while Aaron Judge (hip) is on the injured list.
