Jacob deGrom Has No Timeline For Mound Work
2 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (elbow) continues to be limited to playing light catch, and there's no timetable for when he will be cleared to throw off a mound. deGrom's rehab from a right-elbow injury is going to take some time, so fantasy managers won't be getting the 34-year-old right-hander back from the injured list when he's eligible to return this Sunday. All fantasy managers can do with the oft-injured hurler is be patient and continue to stash him in an injured-list slot. In his first six starts for the Rangers this year, deGrom has a 2.67 ERA (1.63 FIP), 0.76 WHIP, four walks and 45 strikeouts in 30 1/3 innings. Dane Dunning took deGrom's first start in the team's rotation and is likely to remain in the rotation for the time being.
