Jacob deGrom Has No Timeline For Mound Work
Jacob deGrom (elbow) continues to be limited to playing light catch, and there's no timetable for when he will be cleared to throw off a mound. deGrom's rehab from a right-elbow injury is going to take some time, so fantasy managers won't be getting the 34-year-old right-hander back from the injured list when he's eligible to return this Sunday. All fantasy managers can do with the oft-injured hurler is be patient and continue to stash him in an injured-list slot. In his first six starts for the Rangers this year, deGrom has a 2.67 ERA (1.63 FIP), 0.76 WHIP, four walks and 45 strikeouts in 30 1/3 innings. Dane Dunning took deGrom's first start in the team's rotation and is likely to remain in the rotation for the time being.
