J.P. Crawford Returns In Leadoff Spot
2 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford (knee) is back in the starting lineup on Wednesday against right-hander Dane Dunning and the Texas Rangers, and he's also hitting leadoff with outfielder Julio Rodriguez moved down to the six-hole. Crawford is back in action after missing the last two games with a left-knee injury. The 28-year-old will be more attractive in DFS games on Wednesday in the leadoff spot. He is hitting just .240 (25-for-104) with eight doubles, one homer and 14 RBI in 34 games played, but Crawford has been getting on base at a nice .378 clip thanks to 23 walks compared to 26 strikeouts in 128 trips to the plate. If J-Rod keeps struggling offensively, Crawford could stick atop Seattle's lineup moving forward.
