J.D. Davis Returns To Mets Lineup On Sunday
5 years agoNew York Mets infielder/outfielder J.D. Davis (shoulder) is in the Mets lineup on Sunday for their Grapefruit League game against the Houston Astros. Davis is slated to bat cleanup and play left field. Davis is returning to the lineup from a jammed left shoulder he suffered earlier in spring training. Barring any setbacks, all signs point to Davis being ready to go by Opening Day. Davis is a prime breakout candidate for 2020. In just 410 at-bats in 2019, he hit .307 with 22 home runs, 57 RBI, and scored 65 runs. The Mets seem intent on getting Davis into the lineup as much as possible in 2020, by playing him in the outfield and at third base. With more playing time in 2020, Davis can potentially return monumental value at his current ADP of 173.
