Jordan Lawlar Activated from Injured List
Jordan Lawlar was activated from the injured list and started at third base Thursday night for Triple-A Reno. Lawlar missed multiple weeks with a hamstring injury and went 2-for-5 with a double in his return. He hit the ball hard twice, including a 101.4 MPH lineout. Before getting injured, the 23-year-old was crushing with a .319/.410/.583 slash line with 10 homers and 18 stolen bases in 250 plate appearances. He earned a promotion to the majors on May 12 and again struggled with his opportunity. He did not record a hit over 22 plate appearances and struck out 40% of the time before being sent back down. Lawlar is still one of the best prospects in baseball, and patience is encouraged with a player of his talent level.
