The New York Giants re-signed linebacker Devante Downs to an undisclosed deal on Wednesday. Downs was a restricted free agent but wasn't tendered a contract by the team, making him an unrestricted free agent. He was a seventh-round pick by the Minnesota Vikings in 2018 and joined the Giants in October of 2019 when he was signed to their practice squad. Downs was promoted to the active roster a few weeks later and remained with the team through last season. Downs has recorded 33 tackles, one QB hit and one pass defensed in 23 games (eight starts) for the G-Men. He hasn't been much of a force on the defensive side of the ball, but he earned a Pro Football Focus grade of 58.7 on special teams.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
