Derek Wolfe Won't Make It Back In 2021
3 years agoBaltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said that defensive end Derek Wolfe (back, hip) will not return to play in 2021. The Ravens opened Wolfe's 21-day practice window to return from Injured Reserve late last month, but apparently the 31-year-old pass-rusher just hasn't made any progress and won't play at all in his second season with Baltimore. Wolfe was placed on IR before the team's Week 3 game. He becomes the sixth starter for the Ravens to suffer a season-ending injury in 2021, joining cornerback Marcus Peters, offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, running backs J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards and safety DeShon Elliott. Justin Madubuike has stepped into a starting role with Wolfe out and has 16 tackles and one sack on the season.
