Derek Stingley Jr. Day-to-Day With Oblique Injury
Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said that the team is still evaluating cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. (oblique), who injured his oblique in the Week 3 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, according to Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle. Ryans added that Stingley is considered day-to-day for now. We'll have a better idea of Stingley's Week 4 status against the division-rival Tennessee Titans this weekend once the Texans begin practicing on Wednesday. Before his injury, the 24-year-old defensive back had played 14 defensive snaps and broke up a pass. Tremon Smith stepped into a bigger role on Sunday after Stingley went down and would have a bigger role once again versus the Titans if Stingley is unable to play in Week 4. Houston's defense/special teams will be pretty attractive this week in a plus matchup, even if Stingley is unavailable.Read More News
