Connor Wong Hits Two Bombs To Help Beat Blue Jays
2 years agoBoston Red Sox catcher Connor Wong had an excellent game in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. Wong finished the game 4-for-4 with two home runs, a double, two RBI and two runs scored, and it was the 26-year-old backstop's third straight multi-hit contest. He has taken over Boston's starting role behind the plate and is currently hitting .290 (18-for-62) with five doubles, three home runs, 10 RBI, a stolen base and 11 runs scored in 69 plate appearances and 23 games played in his third MLB season. All three of Wong's long balls have come in his last three games, so he's really starting to feel it offensively of late. It's safe to say that Wong's fantasy stock is on the rise with Reese McGuire struggling offensively and defensively right now.
