Carlton Davis Ruled Out With Quad Injury
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Carlton Davis (quadriceps) was ruled out for the rest of the second half of the Sunday night game against the New England Patriots after he was carted off the field. Davis came into the game dealing with injuries to his abdomen and ribs, but it was a quad injury that forced him from the game. He was injured during a special teams play when he pulled up lame and went down to the turf. It had the look of a pretty serious injury, but we'll have to wait to see how long Davis might be out. Starting cornerbacks Jamel Dean and Sean Murphy-Bunting were already out coming into this game, so Tampa's secondary is notably thin despite the signing of All-Pro Richard Sherman this week. Opponents will continue to attack the Bucs defense downfield.
