C.J. Stroud Asked Texans To Take Nathaniel Dell
2 years agoHouston Texans rookie wide receiver Nathaniel Dell said that quarterback C.J. Stroud told the Texans front office after he was drafted with the second overall pick last Thursday night that he wanted the team to select Dell later in the draft. Stroud and Dell developed a relationship at the NFL scouting combine and will now be working together in their first NFL season. Dell is a bit undersized, but he was productive with 29 touchdowns at the University of Houston in his final two seasons, and he has a clear path to become the team's slot receiver in his first year at the next level. The 23-year-old could be worth a late-round flier in deeper fantasy leagues this fall, although both he and Stroud will certainly see their fair share of ups and downs in their rookie season.
